'69 Z/28 I owned and restored from 1982 to 1985. Restoration took about 18 months. Sold it in '85 as I was getting married and was thinking ahead for kids and house. Cortez Silver, Black rally stripes, rosewood wheel and accents Deluxe black interior with black and white houndstooth seats, fold down rear seat, factory option 4.11 gears, cowl induction hood, full exterior trim package ( I forget the code), manual fast ratio steering. Matching #'s engine, trans and rear. Only sheet metal not original was left quarter. Even painted it in lacquer so it was just like in '69.
That's the one I wish I had found a way to keep. Ed M.

She's beautiful, no wonder why you miss her!!
The car I miss most is my 2001 Z28...didn't get enough time with that one. It was my first camaro and it was FASTTTT let me tell you. Ran a 12.70 in the 1/8th with only an air lid. Five months later I was hit by a semi truck and it was totaled. So sad. I got a 2000 Z28 to replace it but that car was sooo slow. Then I had a white formula, twin turbo. Then a few vettes in between, and onto my 2010 camaro that I've had since 09! |

I feel your pain. I had a 2002 SS A4 that I believe was a factory freak. Ran very hard. Long tubes, lid, and a tune made it a high 12 second car in blistering summer heat on absolute crap sumitomos. Put in in the nitrous tune and spray the HSW 150 wet shot ... Hold on. Lol. Don't tell my ls3, but I loved my ls1 more

Might be that you always miss your 1st one. Mine was a 67 inline 6 250, with the old slip and slid tranny! lol
Had a blast in that car. |
