False knock is pulling almost all of he timing - so much timing the ECM is taking the AFR back down to low 11s. Looking at a couple of options - have some popcorn.

My suggestion was cut the wires and on a resistor in - what do I know.

Graph looks like a heart rate monitor - highs the rpm worse timing gets pulled.

Is this the wavy line we fairly well all see on our Dyno sheets? It definitely correlates with knock data does it Glide? Just a thought but this is not intertwined with the torque control mechanisms of the ECM and TCM is it?

If false knock truly is the issue then why are IPF tuned vehicles dyno'ing fine but Trifecta tuned vehicles aren't? The more time that goes by the harder it is for me to buy into this whole "false knock" thing. Don't get me wrong, I want to be proven wrong since my car doesn't dyno worth a crap.

I thought this new dyno with the eddy current was supposed to fix the false knock issue.. something smells awfully fishy.

Resonance is resonance...Eddy load controlled or inertia style would not matter. Having been involved with tuning on the LFX cars, I have seen false knock on a near factory vehicle and on supercharged one. However, after working with the knock sensor charts, by logging and analyzing data (Not just removing them!!) we can scale back the knock sensors to allow for resonance due to modifications that may set off factory sensors (Such as headers, superchargers, etc.).

However, that false knock really would not be due to a dyno, these knock sensors are a lot further sophisticated than the older KR sensors. Heck the turbo buick sensors were garbage, the LS1 044 ECU sensors were damn good, and everything in the newer "Exx" ECU's seems to be quite good. I do not have any experience tuning the LLT's, but I would have thought that the tune would compensate for any false knock, and it's not just going to show up due to a load control dyno.

Oh and the only reason for my two cents here is because I was contracted as the outside dyno shop, and if there is questions to our dyno I will happily answer anything related to it.

When I did my dyno the wavy lines did not match up with the knock at all. I have logs to show that. But on the dyno my knock was two times higher than normal road WOT

So what I got from that and please correct me if I'm wrong. False knock sounds like it comes from added power/mods and is a possible tuning issue. So if thats true and a dyno doesn't cause it then if we see this false knock on the dyno we likely have it on the street too. AND if that is correct then it sounds like it is a waste to mod until the knock issuse is solved.
