This is a 30 second exposure, only light sources being a sodium vapor lamp outside the garage and across the street.

What about taking a 15-20 second exposure? Would that still be too bright? I've got a Canon T2i, and am just beginning to figure out how these settings work. Still don't know much though, but if a 30 second exposure was making the final picture too bright, wouldn't lessening it balance it out? Perhaps turn up the aperture setting, or the ISO down a little? I'm guessing you probably tried that though. I was just thinking of a way you could get a good shot with the halos on without doing any post editing...

Incredible picture though, great looking Camaro too!

Beautiful shot. Post it on the Canon Digital Photography Forums (POTN), those guys should be able to give you some great advice and critiques. Maybe I can get a similar pic with my T3i.

Also you can use a flashlight while your in the exposure and light the body lines of the car.
