What VP fuel that you run?
Was wondering what VP racing fuel that you are running on the street or at the track?
VP has their streetblaze 100, but I think it has ethanol in it. I was thinking about the C10 for a N/A application with street compression,or more boosted application, the Motorsport 109. One of my distributors offered me some at a fair price.Just wanted to ask what you guys run. |

Unless your upping your compression ration or running FI with a tune for extra timing, you will slow the car down with a racing fuel of that high of octaine. Now add a few gallons of 100 street unleaded and that can help if all you have is 91 in it .
The higher the octaine, the slower and more controlled the burn (explosion) and thus less power (unless an oxygenated blend, but thats an entire different disscusion). What it DOES do is allow us to run a higher compression ration and more timing without the danger of detonation a lower octaine will cause, thus more power in the engine built for it. 87 octaine is the most volatile, but with that is the detonation that 91 or 93 will eliminate. Very common misconception. |

Only have 91 octane here.
Even my wife's Trailblazer SS ,I'm still on the stock timing table, without any octane booster ,the ecm is pulling 2-4 degrees of timing anywhere.when I use the Lucas octane boost. It run's OK. |

I need 93 Octane. If I can't get it, I have a can of Torco in the trunk that works nicely. It comes in handy when I am road tripping and can't find the good stuff. It does work.
