ebay link

For some reason the links have been expiring. Just look up led welcome light. 5Watt version is a must have, then go US only for quick ship, or look @ China for better prices.

You could put them anywhere, but mine aren't weather proof, so keep that in mind. Mustangs have them factory know, from sideview mirror's down.

So I did this, but wiring to the ABL's was a terrible idea... For one, they dont come on when you open the passenger door (i.e. every time you go on a date and open a door for the lady...), and for two they dont even ALWAYS come on with the driver door open. And when they do, they turn off rather quickly. Does anyone know a good way to wire these to the dome light, because it comes on every time the door is open and stays on for a while.

Sorry to hear that. My 2010 comes on 100% of the time in those situations. Obviously at night only. You can tap, not splice into dome circuit under steering wheel, grey wire at end. See threads about adding footwll lighting. Hope you get working on urs.

You need to wire them in the door. The door has constant 12V.
Driver Door.....Red/White=Constant 12V---Grey/Black=Ground from Door lock switch.
Pass. Door....Red/White=Constant 12V---Tan/Black=Ground from Door lock switch.
Whenever you open the door, they come on and stay on as long the door is open.

Great idea! Keep in mind older cars don't have unlock buttons on the doors, not sure if wiring is there. Wiring the dome would be tricky. Would require running wire through factory plu, by drilling a little hole above connector and fishing through. Did it for my dream color with 4 wires!

Good luck!

Trying to bring this thread back. I got the red camaro with rs and have some other ideas for spots to mount them. Anyone else would like to chime in no maybe out some pics. Thanks. Had them for a good while. Just a matter if getting them where I want.

I prefer where I installed, but... the new mustangs have one that shows a pony from the side view mirrors. If you had a low profile newer style one it might fit behind our mirrors. May be difficult getting glass out. Or from cupholder up on to cieling, Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
