stupid me

When I garaged the Camaro for the winter at my in-laws, I removed the battery and took it home to keep it inside. While I was picking up my boys after work yesterday I went out to check on it and drool over it some.

As I was walking around the car, I realize there is no key hole for the trunk! I'll have to fold down the rear seat and have my 7 year old climb into the trunk to pull the emergency trunk release.

When he/she turns 15 do it again but this time close the hatch...

But from experience it does get better around the early 20's...

my SS sits in my garage all winter under the cover and starts right up like the day that I parked it for the winter.

Why take out the battery? Start it once a month and you'll be fine, or if you want you can hook it up to a "trickle charge" ( battery tender works great) and you'll have no problems..........

I take out the battery mostly out of habit, been doing it that way for years. This is the first car I've had that has a trunk mounted battery.

Besides, I don't trust my father-in-law not to take it out.

That's sucks, but I'm so glad our cars don't have the key hole.

one of the easiest thing to do, that is if you have a cover on it, is to take one of your MF towels and place it over the latch and lightly close the lid of the trunk, the trunk will never latch.
