Thanks

I saw the concept online prior to ever seeing the movie...and even knowing that the Camaro was going to be IN the movie. The Transformers purist in me was furious when I heard that Bumblebee was going to be a Camaro. How could the "small guy" that everybody thinks "can't do it" be a hot muscle car? After seeing the movie, I understand why they went in the direction they did...and it worked (not as much as if Bumblebee was a VW Bug or Mini Cooper though).

I'll be honest, I never liked Camaros. I grew up a Mustang guy and I liked every incarnation of the Mustang better than it's Camaro rival. That changed with the 5th Gen though. Transformers didn't make me want the car...didn't make me think the car was incredible...but it did make me want it MORE when I saw it in action rather than parked at a car show or online in pictures. Since my love affair with the 5th gen, I've grown to love some of the other generations that I once wore "Mustang-shaded glasses" when I looked at them. I still don't like the 3rd or 4th gens...but the 1st and 2nd gens are very VERY nice. My personal favorite is the 1970. Something about the Corvette inspired taillights, the sloped coupe look, and that menacing huge grill just does it for me.

So, again...I'm a transformers lover...and now a Camaro lover. I will say that Transformers did play a part in me preordering one.

LadiesMan you pretty much just described my exact process on the whole thing lol I could probably just repost everything you typed except trade out Mustang for Stealth (yes I was a Dodge Stealth owner so save the venom lol). I always thought Camaro's were ok, didn't dislike them but never loved them to the extent that I do the 5th Gen. I was SO pissed when they announced Bumblebee to be a Camaro, blasphemy! But once I saw the concept car I quickly changed my tune. It's THE hottest car there is, even next to the gorgeous new Corvette concept car in TF2 it still held its own. Both my roommate and I said we'd still go for the Camaro over the Vette. Im waiting for my order to get pulled but Im still stuck on color. Right now I have black for the order but Im hearing so many horror stories about maintenance that Im really second guessing it. I've tossed around the ideas of about 6 colors lol but now Im down to black or yellow with black stripes b/c of the TF lover in me. What do you think? Also did you see TF2? Saw the midnight Imax showing last night, it was freaking phenomenal, action was simply amazing!

Nope, I haven't seen it yet. Going Friday right after work to see it at the IMAX. I can't wait...

I'd go with the Yellow with black stripes although I'm not really the one to ask because I think Black is the worst color for this car. Too many of the details and lines are hidden and lost with black.

I went with IOM with white and I'm so glad I did. So many people say that it's the best color they've seen on it and I have to agree. I also like IBM with white and ABM with white or silver rallies.

Yea the ABM was the first Camaro saw in person and is the moment I fell in love with the car. I live in Orlando and I just got off a ride at Disney called Test Track and it basically herds you into a room full of GM cars after the ride and there she was in all its splendor and under the lighting they were using it looked incredible! Two problems with ABM though under certain lights it looks kinda dull and well its not the toughest color if you know what I mean but it still looks great. I agree totally with the black not showing the lines and that ws another hangup I had but damn does it look mean and tough lol!

LOL I saw the ABM at Epcot too. (BTW, Test Track is awesome...but the outdoor section is WAY too short). I would've loved it if it looped around again.

Yep, you're right about ABM...it's not the "toughest" color but it looks good in the sun.

Yea the best part is definetely the outside part and its WAY too short but it is pretty awesome nonetheless. Not sure if you had the chance to check out Soarin while you were there, that ride is tons of fun but the line for it is REALLY long unles you get fast passes lol. Well you're going to have to let me know what you thought of the movie after you see it Friday then we can compare notes like the fanboys we are

Where can i get the decepticon badges like the autobot ones?

I just searched Ebay for Autobot car decals and I got a bunch of results for Autobot and Decepticon alike

I am in the same boat as LadiesMan in growing up a mustang guy. I was planning on buying a 2010 mustang and told the wife I was buying one. While I was deciding on what I wanted for the mustang I saw the 2010 Camaro. The next day I told the wife I was buying a Camaro and a few days later my order was in.

+1 People that put transformer stickers on thier cars remind me of people that go all out for star trek or star wars. Yeah, I grew up watching transformers, but im not buying a transformer, I am buying a Camaro.

Well you're entitled to you opinion, Im not buying a transformer or a Camaro Im buying a car so if you really need to dumb it down to that level I suppose you can go even further. Its just a simple novelty that pays a small tribute to the movie and my childhood. You guys like the car b/c you're Camaro junkies, I like it b/c I love the look of the car and I happen to like Transformers but Im not getting the car b/c it was in the movie or b/c it is a TF, I simply like the look of it. To each his/her own I guess. And for the record I do like SW and somewhat ST but I dont go all out lol!

+1.. it's no big shock that so many of the Camaros I've seen are yellow w/ black rallies. If youre gonna go this far though, go balls out. Put a vinyl Autobot logo on your hood like whats-his-name did with Punisher. i'd have more respect for that type of commitment anyway

What do you mean "this far?"

That "badge" is a 2" x 2" autobot symbol. To be honest, I'd much rather have that than a dealer badge...which I've seen some people have.

I'm putting it on the interior...and not smack dab in eye's view...just to pay homage and because I'm a transformers fan.

Yea Im trying to figure out what the "too far" is supposed to entail? A 2in X 2in little chrome decal is going too far? Some people just get all riled up about the silliest things I suppose. Although I am putting it on the outside of the car lol
