My commute has some stoplights, but I got to work at 5:30 so i miss the traffic. Driving a stick is fun and my commute is enjoyable. I took the car south of Denver last week and got caught in traffic on the way back. After an hour of bumper-to-bumper crawling, I realized if this was the norm I'd probably want an auto... glad it's not the norm.

I like the stick myself, just keeps you more focused on driving. It's like riding a motorcycle your engaged in what you are doing so its more difficult to get distracted or fall asleep. Speed wise the stick I think would be better for road coursing and he auto for drag racing. New autos are a hell of a lot better than the 80's and 90's when the manuals were almost 2 seconds faster in the 1/4.

I have an auto. Sure as hell doesn't make me less of a man. Plus the computer can shift faster than any person can, so who cares...
