I never got anything in writing, 'cause like I said, he said if local dealers were giving better deals then he'd give me a "fair" deal. So I went back once and got 4k knocked off because of my list of local dealers taking MSRP and 500/1000 down. I figured that you guys getting MSRP through him would be the straw that would break the camel's back, and I'd end up getting MSRP too. And he made it sound like he would get FIRED for knocking another thousand off. So I asked him why GM made the MSRP as low as it is. He never answered, only said "Well I guarantee you that it will be going up in October." Or some BS like that.

I got financing through the dealer for the speed and ease of it. If I can get a better rate on my own, I'll just switch over.

When the car was ready, I went, took him pre-approval check, did the normal DMV paperwork, and contract, done. He never even tried to offer (upsell), what dealers normally do,, such as extended warranties and the like.

Thanks, its kind of a catch-22: i need to sell my truck so i can get the money to use it as down payment...but at the same time i LOVE my truck and would hate to see it get abused by somebody else.

Yeah I understand. I would hate to sell my mustang that I took 9 years to clean it and take care of it just to sell it to someone that does not care about it.....

But we have let it go and get something that we want and love Its a part of life.

Loss and pain are all a part of life...sad but true. not too long ago my bro traded in his mustang as well. he took care of that car so much, every night he would wipe it down and it was always spotless. now, i understand why he did it. just this morning i washed my truck, clay barred it, and waxed it. i felt so complete and happy when i looked at it.

Check the update in the Sig!!! They are flying out of the plant currently!! I was told to "expect my car around September, but could get lucky enough to get it in late August". She is on her way home!!!!! Going in today to get a printout of the workbench info so I can update the sig.

I can't believe how fast this has gone by. Ordered on 5-1-09, shipped on 6-23ish. I was sent to Las Vegas for 2 weeks by my company, get home and my jaw about hit the floor when I got the message from my dealer.

I hope your car makes it through the process as quickly as mine has!

holy freakin crap 2010ssrs!!!! congratulations!!! i'm telling myself 6-10 weeks and i need the time so that i can get my ish together. it would be pretty sweet to get it in august...just in time for my b-day!!!
