Didn't use too much WD40. 1500 miles.

I think this catches oil and water and keeps the water out of the oil supply.

I have both installed for the added piece of mind. Everytime I check the oil, I check the catchcan and get a few drops of oil out of it. The OEM seperator allows oil to drop back into the valve cover, or so I believe.

Just to address the temperature issue... When it's very cold out, condensation accumulates in the catch can, and if it's not emptied often, it will fill the can and get sucked into your intake. This is why GM says both not to use it when it's cold, and not to use it for daily driving. I know this because I found out the hard way with my previous car. If you empty it often, or live in Florida, I don't see why it would be a problem to leave it on.

The GM part isnt a catch can and will not accumulate codensation. It drips whatever it catches, oil since it is a closed system, and puts it back in the motor where it came from.

Then I stand corrected.

Any update on you running the dual system Mgizzle? Is anything going into the catch can yet?

I know I am looking at one of these soon after I saw my car after we were at Gingerman, but just trying to figure out where to start.

I empty mine regularly, like three times since November. Especially after WOT days.

My can is stillnot catchin crazy amount, after gingerman maybe half a pop bottle cap. However, the air oil seperator was soaked in oil, even the line going to the intake.

The clutch fluid scared me. I have theseperate reservoir as I showed you at the track and it had fresh fluid. It is black now, 400 miles on it. Hmmmmmm...

When installing your aftermarket intake, where did you all run the line coming from the factory catch? Did you clamp it off, or did you remove it all together? Thanks.
