Removing Radio Knobs?

Hey Camaro fanatics, Is there any way to take off our radio knobs so I can paint them to the exterior color? Ive been researching about this topic and I cant find anything about it. Is it even possible to take them off and put them back on?

You can remove the knobs. I'm not sure which part you're wanting to paint, though.

Anyway, this thread is for changing the LEDs, but getting the knobs off were a part of it.

Short answer, yes but hard. I couldn't get mine off, but that thread above did.

See my DIY on painting head unit for more details and pics of everything.

I left my brother's dog in my car for about 10 minutes and he managed to chew off all the radio buttons I wish I could ask him how he did it, because it sounds like everyone's had difficulty removing them lol

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I discolored the vol and other knob and my dealer told me I would have to replace the whole touchscreen which would be $1000. Does anyone know where to get them or have a broken radio that I can use for pieces. I just got the car a month ago so it's a big deal to me.

I got a set of chrome knobs and I was trying to take off the extra silicon with alcohol.

Were they hard to remove? I found out that AC Delco makes the parts but they won't let me order just that part. I don't think its worth paying the extra money for a new faceplate.
