Yes that's exactly what I'm saying, I feel like most v6 owners are going to say aesthetics and most v8 owners are going to say performance, as confirmed by doubletap above me...

The car already performs well and looks amazing...so even if I kept it bone stock I'd be happy. Recently I've been doing more performance mods then anything. It's all about who has the bigger engine and the most power around my way.

I spend probably 70/30 in favor of appearance mods. I could never leave my car stock and look exactly like every other Camaro on the road.
Chasing HP seems like it never ends - and no matter what you do, there's always a faster car than you.

Definitely performance all the way, more Horsepower is always better and the SS Camaro needs nothing added for looks, GM made these Camaros absolutely perfect looking from the factory

Well said.. They did get it right didn't they? Yet there's nothing wrong with personalizing it a bit... nothing at all. |

I'd say performance for the most part ,but I have added some aesthetic mods into the mix.

Well I would still vote on cosmetic mods even if I had a SS or ZL1, because I don't race, so where do you drive on a daily basis that the stock performance isn't enough? I just couldn't see me needing that much power in the first place..

I don't mean to be condescending whatsoever, but I think you would change your mind with an SS or ZL1. I think I speak for most of us here when I say that once the HP/mods bug bites you it's game over, you need more

Hmm well I had that bug at one time.....my 82 El Camino had a built 350 in it. While it was nice, the power and expense to get it was greater than the benefits I got from it. Don't get me wrong I loved the sound of that V8 and the smell of burning rubber when I got on it, but I just couldn't use everything it had so I sold it and bought my first 1LT Camaro in 2010, and I am totally happy with the V6, and even happier with the V6 Convertible I have now.

Come see myself or GretchenGotGrowl at the track. We will be glad to disprove the above statement. As long as you enjoy your Camaro in whatever form, that is all that matters. But I look good going fast.

Performance mods = warranty exposure
Aesthetic = not so much My 2LT has plenty of power. But I think Chevy missed the boat on lighting. That has been my focus. |

Performance - It's already asthetically beautiful!
