Leaking from radiator cap, easy fix or dealer?

Recently changed my oil and noticed a leak from the radiator cap. Cleaned it off and hoped it would go away. Low and behold I checked again today and it's still leaking. Also noticed the hose connected to the radiator looks slightly warped on one end. Honestly my dealer's a complete a-hole and I don't really feel like paying them a visit. Dealers will service your vehicle regardless if you purchased it from that location, right? Thanks! /naive

Looks like either the cap is the problem or the radiator might have a hairline crack right on the seam, Ive noticed a few other guys on here that had to have their radiators replaced due to leakage where theirs was leaking compared to yours Im not sure, Hopefully the cap is the problem because if its the radiator it will most like be a warranty job if yours still has one and a dealer job.

I had this issue on my 2011 SS. What appeared to be the hose leaking actually turned out to be a stress crack in the radiator. Go to a dealer asap and get it diagnosed. Mine looked exactly like your picture and then within weeks it looked a lot worse as the crack continued to split.

Am17,

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue. I also recommend having a dealer inspect the issue.

And to answer your question, yes, another dealer will service your vehicle. Just be sure it is a GM dealer.

If you need assistance locating one near you, please PM me your zip code for a listing.
