BUT
Personally I would not want to use it as a daily driver and or in the snow.

I'm just saying.

Amen, amen and amen! You're looking into a $60k, 580 horsepower pavement pounder, but don't have the cash for a cheap DD? It sounds as if you're bending yourself over the hood from a financial standpoint.

A cheap DD that's reliable cost way more than the snow tires do. Snow tires was a much better option from my POV and the money I saved from not buying a DD is going towards mods

Thata boy SMik : )

A good pair of snow tires works totally fine. Obviously don't drive like an @ss but all cars are cold weather tested and more than capable of driving in all weather conditions.

Yeah, but now you have to deal with salt, road debris, scratches, gunk mucking up everything below, etc.

don't get me wrong - I've done that dance too, but now I have a DD for that simply due to the damage it caused to so many of my cars (and we don't even use traditional salt around here).

You can afford a ZL1 but not a beater?? Doesn't make sense. You can pick up civics all over the place for a few hundred and since they are honda try run forever. I've bought 2 without even looking at them an no issues yet. Or drop a grand or 2 and get something to keep a few years.

I can afford a beater, but I don't have a lot of extra space. There's already four cars at my place (four different drivers) and who is honestly going to drive in a car that you can get for a few hundred bucks when they just spent all that money on a beautiful new car with all fully functioning amenities. I saved and spent my money on the ZL-1 and now I intend to drive it as much as I can. Life's too short IMO

Amen, brotha! I drive my 2011 2SS/RS all year round in Michigan. Run Blizzaks in the winter, PZeros in the summer. I get a car allowance from my company (they are paying me to drive a Camaro!) and I keep the car when it is paid off.....Life is good......

Ease up on the guy!

When you guys sign his frakkin check then worry about how he spends it! Are you married to him? Sounding like a bunch of frustrated dream killing old bitter hags. What happened to supporting that person's decision? Drive the car it's a car, not a collectors item.
