Pre-orders, Waiting and getting pissed. If thats you please Read.

Hello all, first off let me say that I feel your pain. Although I have my car and have had it for about a month I once felt the anger and was pissed. My car was built in Mid April but didn't get to me until June so trust me I feel the pain.

First off to all those getting pissed about waiting do yourself a favor and stop coming to this site everyday, trust me it will help the wait and stop the frustration. That's what I did and boy did it work miracles. I was once at the point where I was gonna cancel my order and buy something else, BOY AM I GLAD I DIDN'T. This car is amazing, it's as simple as that. I know you guys don't want to hear it but GM is doing their best to get these cars out there. The easy part is building them the hard part is what comes after that, all the test and inspections and time consuming of logisitcs and everything else that goes into getting the car into your hands.

Yes the pre-order seems like it's random, but with no one here actually working for the company and understanding the business model of who's orders and allocations to fulfill first we really shouldn't get pissed at GM. A lot of the time it's the dealers not telling you everything. So all I ask is if you are getting to the point that everything you say or think is negative about the Camaro and GM, take a step back get off the site and collect yourself. Because this site is suppose to be for helpful information but lately its starting to turn very angry, so let's use the site for what it was intended to be used for and that's helping each other.

I tell you this, you will love this car and everything that has happened before you getting the car will be an afterthought and looked backed on as silly once you our driving this car. I hope this help's some people.

Much LOVE to ALL OF YOU. I'm with you guys all the way thorugh the good and the bad. GOD BLESS.

I'm impatient...but hell...I'm impatient with everything in my life so why should waiting on the most bad-ass car on the road be any different. I'm just happy to be involved in this whole process. Going through all of the waiting and BS, it's going to make taking delivery of my ride that much sweeter and I know I will appreciate it more, even if it only just a little bit more.

I have learned some valuable lesson about how the preorder system works. Don't know if I'll EVER preorder a car again. If I do, I'll know how to play the game much better next time. I know she'll be worth it in the end but I will have a BAD memory of the whole process! :(

Do people really come to this site everyday? Man who has time for that!

But, I agree frustration builds more frustration and I'll admit I am not the most patient person in the world, hence I can get frustrated easily. But, I personally will keep checking in here at least once a week, as I enjoy seeing that I am not the only one frustrated in the process. Plus, it really helps me put things in perspective when I see that their are others out there that ordered before me that haven't gotten their car yet either. Actually, I'd say that seeing the new camero on the road in or around my town upsets me more than any post could ever do as I wanted to be the first in my area to get the 2010 car. Oh well, crap happens.

Thanks to the great folks here, I have learned so much about this ordering process as it's not been like any other car order I've done. This forum has saved me and calmed me when I get confused and frustrated.

I'd like to personally thank everyone who posts the good news and show off their cars here, I maybe drooling and jealous, but I am still enjoying seeing them and reading about them. It keeps the excitment going.

To wrap up, I'd agree don't get addicted to this forum and view it everyday. Take the negative with a grain of salt and for every post that you read that feeds your frustration, read one that shows the joy of ownership.

Still waiting on a VIN number....

Yes sir FIRE UP CHIPS. Proud Alumni of the great Central Michigan University .

When you get the vin thats when the waiting will get worse. Get a lot of beer to pass the time, just a little advice on how to cope.

IF my car arrives by the end of July... which is starting to look like its not gonna happen I am making the drive from Austin to Traverse City and spending a couple weeks. I am suppose to meet up with Rico-SS or something to that variation. Hes a MTP'er too, do you know him? He has had his IOM for months now.

I went through two painful orders on the Camaro, one of which was cancelled. Yes the car is awesome (I've got it now) but the amount of BS I had to go through has left scars. I've got family members that work for GM. I buy GM to support them. But the experience has been so bad that my next vehicle might not be GM. It has nothing to do with how awesome the Camaro is, and everything to do with the way GM has launched this product, their customer support, and an epic failure on the part of one of the dealerships.

I dont see the scars healing anytime soon. Maybe 5-6 years from now I'll be alright only time will tell. When people ask me about the car I find myself not talking as much about how awesome it is, although I do, but I get hung up on the pain of getting it and start ranting about the GM's execution and customer service. I tell them that they'd love the car but not to bother trying to get one for at least a year.

GM's taken someone who has no choice but to support them in order to support their family members and turned that person against them.....

I don't want to start anyone bitching but I just don't get what's so bad about it. I ordered a few months ago and am super excited to get one (more than most of you probably since I've been working on it for the past 4 years) but I assume I'm going to get it eventually. I definitely want it before the snow starts falling and I'd love to have it now but I just think people should cool it with the negativity. It's a great car and everyone will be enjoying it soon enough. For now I'm enjoying the anticipation! Be cool.

I don't agree that the waiting is worse once you have a VIN. If you ordered 8 months ago and are still at 1100 then you would welcome a VIN at this time, believe me.
