No the difference is all McCain fans would have something to the effect of "Oh I'm so glad someone who knows their stuff is taking it over". Regardless of outcome of the last election the goverment would always have had to have given money to GM and I swear, the effect would have been the same. Just be happy that GM is still around and the Camaro is going strong.

I had an old guy walk up and say, So is that the new Camaro? I said yes. He then said, looks like every other Dodge and Chrysler on the road. I said, um, this is a Chevy. He said I know, all GM cars look the same, and walked off. He did get in a Ford F150. Go figure.

I don't have a Camaro, but I was at a dealership the saturday before fathers day with my Dad to show him what I have been obsessing over....

Insert Salesman, who was nice and all, for the most part he got it right, but then he had to insert his foot into his mouth

"So yea, this Camaro has the old Corvette Engine, the NEW corvette Engine is making 436HP, and they stopped putting the old one in Corvette's to have enough to go around for the Camaro"

). But that wasn't really stupid, just some good natured trash talking.

I had a coworker say "Oh, you want a Camaro? Aren't those really expensive?" She was shocked when I said the SS was around $30K. I remember back when the concept appeared some woman said "That looks exactly like the Mustang. GM clearly just copied their design".

Usually I can come up with a nice sarcastic remark to extreme stupidity, but that one left me speechless.

Sad but, this is what it's come to.

The dumbest thing I've heard was the salesman where I test drove one. After the drive a lady comes in with her two teenaged boys and of course the kids ask "how much HP does it have?" The guy couldn't even get the numbers right. His information on everything was way off. This was also the guy that told me I couldn't get GMS on this car. Gues what?! After some work I found somebody who would do it for me.

Another one was not really dumb but. ANNOYING. A guy comes up to me at work while I was talking to someone else and hears the word Camaro and starts talkin smack about "Camaros are junk". Of course this got my feathers ruffled. And I stated that I just orderd one. But, it's OK because I just read the JD Powers IQS numbers and Chevrolet is 9 in the top 10. That guy drives a BMW Z4. BMW ranks 16th. No skin off my back. I'll just smoke his Beamer when I take selivery. Shouldn't be too hard.
