Is it possible they are installed too far apart, so that the measurements don't line up? I know you don't want to put anything on the installer, but at least his name hasn't been dragged through the mud.

Also do you have pics of the other things, like the back stripe etc?

The instructions from RiderGraphix state the stripe should be 6.5 inches apart. This is the exact spacing at the windshield. There is no way you could install them 6.5 all the way down the hood as the stripes would start to form a V shape, and would be much less straight and parallel. I was present for the wet install, and when they were laid 6.5 all the way is was ghastly. This was the only way to make them look semi-presentable. And as Rogue said, it just looks strange the way they seperate and curve. It isnt correct.

I can add a pic of the back stripe, but its just of the two deck stripes. As I mentioned, the spoiler stripes would not install as they were over an inch wider than the deck stripe, and there was NO way they could be installed so that they lined up correctly with the deck stripe. Trust me, we spent a long time trying. And they obviously were manufactured wrongly, as when I asked RiderGraphix about it, he admitted they had to "re-measure" a car and would send me modified replacement stripes. So he knew they were not sized properly...

I also cannot say a word against the installer or his abilities. As I mentioned, I was personally present for the installation, and saw it all with my own eyes. The lord himself could not have made those stripes match the graphic on the website...

Wow, talk about being impatient.

I just get my email and there are three from you and two from Paypal, now this post.

First of all, I have spent countless hours and I can't even remember how many emails back and forth with you prior to this. Now, because I do not answer you in less than two hours from when you send the first email, you send two more and start this? I never even responded as to what the resolution would be.

First of all, there were never any issues with the Design of the Hood Stripes. After you contacted me about the spoiler decals, we made a slight adjustment per your request and I offered to send you replacement pieces at no additional charge.

Then, you asked me if you could buy an additional set of Hood Stripes since your First installer screwed them up and they had too many bubbles for your liking. There was never an issue of the design or fit of the hood stripes. I made arrangements to sell you a second set of hood stripes per your request, and they were sent to you along with the replacement Spoiler pieces as well as new trunk stripes at no charge. If you were sent the wrong design Hood Stripes the second time, send them back and I would be happy to replace them for you.

You state that you have given me ample opportunity to resolve this, but you post this before you even hear back from me? How does that give me "ample" opportunity? Just so you know, I am not sitting here on a Saturday morning waiting for you to send me an email. I do have other things going on. I have replied as soon as I possible could and that apparently is not soon enough.

Now, that you have ran my name through the mud with no reply from me, what would you expect me to do for you?

You had no issues whatsoever until someone tells you something that is far from the truth. I have found in the past that when an installer does not want to be bothered with something or wants to cover their own poor quality, they blame it on the product. This is not the case, and is very far from the truth. you also did not mention that you have two different installers working on this now, after the first one screwed up your first set of Hood Stripes. Now, you state that an installer tells you the material will crack and peel?

Per the picture you posted --- which is the first I have seen or heard of this --- The hood stripes were not properly positioned during installation. They are cut perfectly straight down the center, and will align if installed properly from the beginning.

All of these issues (Alignment and Bubbles) are clearly caused by an improper installation.

You have ignored my emails all morning. When you did not reply, I contacted PayPal. The disputes closed quickly, several hours ago, so you obviously were online. You were also on this forum early this morning, so clearly, you are ignoring me.

The initial installer did the best he could with your stripes, but they do not line up, and it is incredulous that you claim that they could be applied straight. Look at the photo. There is NO way you can maintain a 6.5 inch spacing between the stripes down the hood while keeping the stripes straight and parallel. It just cannot be done.

I was further informed that the bubbles that were present (which I was not going to mention) was a result of poor quality cheap vinyl. They were applied according to your instructions and even when done correctly, they are poor.

As you mentioned yes I went to a second local and very established installer, for a second opinion, and it was the same. Your stripes are cheap quality, will not last, and WILL NOT FIT CORRECTLY. Two installers, both with long-time experience, and both agreed. The second wouldn't even fit the replacement stripes because he said they were cheap, would fail in under 2 years and would ruin the car's finish. That, and again, they would not go on straight.

You ask what would I like? I want my money back and to have done with this as what you have sent me was not fit for the purpose it was purchased. Stand by your 100% satisfaction guarentee. Refund my money so I can walk away from this debacle and let others do business with you and draw their own conculsions. At least prove your integrity in my case and give me back my money.

They were shipped yesterday. I assure you there is nothing wrong with what you were sent. The ones in question here were one of the first sets we did and the spoiler decal was off a slight amount. An update was made prior to any other stripes being sent out.

Furthermore, if you so wish, I will go out and photograph the stripes that clearly show the windshield spacing is the correct 6.5 inches as you specify, and the spacing at the grill is several inches wider. The ONLY way to make the spacing the same would be to bring the stripes closer at the grill-end. As you can already see from the photo, the stripes have a curve to them, so by pulling the front ends closer together to make the spacing 6.5" will only enhance this curve. Do you not agree? This will only make them less straight and far from parallel and equal width, as you promise and advertise. This is not poor installation. Again, I was there. Look at my photo. Tell me how you can install these stripes an equal 6.5 inches apart and they will look perfectly straight, parallel and equal width. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
