Leather Seats in a 1LS

I have a base model 1 LS and iv been noticing that some people are selling front and rear leather seat kits online. Can i just bolt these seats right in? I have one single power switch on my seat; so if the seats i buy are power will i be able to just plug them right in? or will they not work?

You could do that, but you are best off just buying leather seat covers & installing them. It's really not that hard to do, you just need tools to pry open the o-rings that hold the seat covers down to the foam, and you will need a seat cover install tool & preferably new o-rings though the old ones should be able to be used. Once you tear into removing the old seat covers it all becomes pretty self explanatory.

yeah but if i happen to run across a good deal on seats at a junk yard, can i bolt them in? does the ls model have a place to plug in power seats? i kinda am assuming they do not, but iv been wrong in the past! lol

if i dont come across a good deal then i have no problem with going the katskinz route

Finding and reusing good sheets from junkyard seems one of the good methods to anticipate, but isn't that the risk of short term goal achievement. I mean what are the odds that it will work out in the long run?

well i know theres a ZL1 in my home town that got totaled after 1 week of taking delivery. The car was taken and stored inside after it was wrecked. If i can get the seats from that it would nice. but im not sure if id be able to use the power seat option being i have the base model.
