2SS L99 considering LT Headers with Solo MACh XL thoughts?
Hello all:
I currently have the set up listed in the signature. I find it hard to satisfy the need for more power for my daily drive to and from work. Slowly creeping up.1. I know there is a difference in performance, but should I expect a significant difference in feel between high flo cats alone vs LT w/hi flo cats with the MACH XL cat back? 2. Should I expect a significant difference in sound (volume) between high flo cats alone vs LT w/hi flo cats with the MACH XL cat back? Any experiences with this combo (any LT headers) + Solo MACH XL cat back? Any video/sound clips would be helpful too. Cannot find much via the search. Thanks!

have you tried youtube? there will not really be any difference in power from LTs and stock catback and LTs and aftermarket catback.
The LTs is where you pickup more airflow which makes more power. but if you already have hi flo cats i am not sure how much. shouldnt be too much

2. I think you would get some increase in volume but more likely a different tone. Did you try searching through the exhaust sticky? Good luck! |

Here is two videos of a 2012 L99, the first one is with the same setup you have now. CAI, Solo HF cats, Solo Mach XL j pipes and JRE Tune. And the second one is same setup except with dynatech headers and HF cats replacing the Solo HF cats. I remember back when this member went from the solo hf cats to the headers. If you would like to know this members name to PM him and ask about Horsepower increase, let me know.

After watching the above videos some more. I would probably just call JRE and order your headers with HF cats and get your updated Tune.

I agree!! The headers definitely give the car a deeper, more throaty sound. The first video sounds more raspy as compared to the second.
