Exclamation 4L60E Advice

So Just recently it was a year ago when I got my trans rebuild, now rather shortly after I got the job done i started to notice things I wasn't to sure were good, but the shop assured me it was ok. Things like hard shifting and such. But now as of a couple months ago I get this nasty slip or flare up its when I'm driving from about 50 to 70 ish if I give it half throttle or more the rpms go up a drastic 1000-2000 it seems though that I'm still kind of moving, and it will stay this way until I let off the throttle and it makes a banging thump noise to "engage" then it's ok. I have taken it to shop while in warranty numbers of times and it didn't replicate while there. What are your guys recommendation it's extremely frustrating.

Almost sounds like the converter is coming unlocked. Mine does that occasionally now with the big stall, hence my need for a better tune, but I don't get a thump when it locks back up.

I have a 2200 stall, with no tune that I know of except for some moderate tunes I did with the hypertech I have. But it didnt happen right after the rebuild It's been the last 3-4 months.

why do you think it would be the converter vs something internal of the trans?

4l60e had many problems normally overdrive goes out theres a connector on the passenger side of tranny that controls overdrive but i will say that those transmissions are garbage ive had 8 and everyone went out on different vehicles if i were you id look into a different setup

What kind of set up would be good to looking into for mostly street driving. I've looked into a little before but what would you recommend?

i would highly reccomend an ls1 and find a different transmission than a 4l60e that is able to be converted cause an ls1 is a good power when you need it and safe when you do as well thats my recomendation
