I have had Allstate for years and they have been great. Been in major accidents and never had any issues at all. I've checked around many times to see if anyone has cheaper rates and they have always been significantly more than Allstate.

Where you live is a huge part of it. If I lived outside of the city and away from I-95 my rates would plummet. There are so many statistics that get factored in it makes you go

Move in with them and jump on their policy!

USAA! Even hooked me up when someone kicked my driver's side door and filed it as an uninsured motorist incident instead of comprehensive, saving me $300 on the deductible.

USAA for 34 years. Had to file claims 3 times, all 3 went quickly, no complaints and the fixes were great. Whenever an insurance guy called me and asked who I had, all I had to say was "USAA". They would say "Thanks for your time" and hang up. They knew they couldn't beat the price OR service. And that nice check at the end of the year (from the Subscribers Savings Account) is great! You are not a customer with USAA..you are a member. If the company does well, you get some of that back.

State Farm... Good price. Gave me some discounts (good driver + have had my renters insurance through them + something else).

Been with Geico for well over 20 years. No problems at all.

Although their commercials are so damn annoying and prevalent, especially when watching things on Hulu, that I often want to leave them.

Been with Allstate for about 20 years. Prices are comparable to Nationwide, Geico, and Progressive on Long Island, and they treated us very well after Hurricane Sandy.

Ins. rates have alot to do with where you live and also your credit rating.I have Grundy on my pace car for 620/year with a value of 50K and 450 a year for the Roush with a value of 30K.I have travelers on my 2011 silverado and the wifes 2012 taurus and pay about 500/6mo for both vehicles.

21st Century. They consistently have the lowest premiums, and I have checked them all. Very good treatment for claims, prompt and efficient. You get a discount if your OnStar is active.

I'm currently being raped by Met life for auto insurance. (4 cars) I did the internet quote for Gieco and it is half what I'm currently paying. So it's a no brainer to switch , but I am curious how good Gieco is at handling claims. Anyone have any input?
Thanks.

They are great at claims they are not a small fly by night operation.

They used to be Government Employees Insurance COmpany.

See what they did there

I have had Allstate for 25 years and I started shopping around this weekend. I have been thinking it was too expensive. Talked to Geico and they are $50/month cheaper for the same coverage. I sent my Allstate agent an email to see if they can match it. If not, I will be switching. $600 per year savings is too much to pass up. I have been happy with Allstate...but have not had a claim in about 20 years.

USAA for 41 years; currently 2 cars, 2 houses and other stuff. The Subscribers Savings Account payout at the end of each year more than offsets our car insurance.

Geico. Love them. But no sense in telling you how much I pay. Unless all things are 100% the same, you will pay something different...
