The price will be higher. We need to figure out if most people want to wait more or not.

Full price is 479 and group buy is 419. I'm ok with going in the middle if it speeds things up. Do you have kits ready to ship? I'm guessing with the deposits you've been able to move forward with production especially knowing that you've got a decent list committed? Or is there a 4 week wait after the green light for production? Just trying to gauge timing and what has been going on prep wise.

We have ordered and received some of the lower-cost components/materials, but, have been waiting on the more expensive/longer lead-time ones until we got closer to 25, or, if people chimed in that they did not want to wait any longer.
![]() As stated (maybe not clearly enough), it will be about four weeks from when we go full-throttle (which we haven't yet). The prep work so far has been proving out new material suppliers, QC-checking in-coming materials (some headaches already), and, setting up our production fixtures and tooling. |

Thanks for the details! I do wish those that are on the list that didn't make deposit would. We need to get the 4 week clock ticking.
Count me in to move forward now for a slightly higher price. Quote:

I'd like to have mine too, but I'm willing to wait a bit longer to get them cheaper.

It seems like more people would order if SJMAutoProd would commit to moving directly into production on "done-for-you" tails as soon as they get the 16 DIY kits sent out (such a commitment has not been made clear, at least in what I've read). I ordered already, but I still don't understand the fixation with only doing DIY kits... If people order finished tails, those would have all the same internal parts, so we would reach our "25" number quicker
and get the lower price on the DIY, since the DIY's lower price is based on ordering larger quantities of the "common" internal parts that would also be used on the higher-priced "done-for-u" units.
