Insurance companies dont like to total camaros because they hold their value too well, pretty careless way to have an accident, ofcourse that's what insurance does, makes people carleess because they dont have to pay for the damage, Another unforseen consequence of pointless government mandates.

Some people just don't even read the OP. And air bag deployment dosen't equal total loss.
If the trans flux inducers are damaged, that may be different.

If pulling out of a blind drive and a car comes around a curve and hits you, they could be at fault for travelling too fast for conditions.

My goodness, you could have done the same damage to the mail box with a bat...the old fashioned way.

i doubt your car is totaled. I just got into an accident a few months ago. Both airbags deployd, shaddered winshield, bumper, fender, reinforcement, hood, radiator all crushed and my car got fixed. Damage was about $9000

Happy you are OK and writing about this.

Did the hood pop open during the accident? If so then the front end has been offset (bent). If that happened then the wheel mounts and engine mounts probably are as well.

The fenders and wheel wells are not that bad to have replaced with OEM parts.
