How many miles should things last?

Just wondering how many miles all the lights should last before being replaced. My first turn signal just went out and sparked my interest . .

well the stock bulbs everywhere in the car are not great.
I've been replacing them all right away with LEDs and those should last years.
I dunno if there are any LED blinker replacements for the front but that would be sweet.
I already replaced the tails with full LED technastalgias.

as well as most other bulbs.

My GM vehicles have typically gone for five or more years (usually more) before a bulb burned out.

Thumbs down

My drivers side halo blew within 18 months from new, at around 10,000, mainly daylight miles. I'm still pretty pissed off, that something as simple as a sidelight should rip you off for around $900!!! I am not going to replace it until my first MOT (safety inspection), is carried out at three years old.

Only thing go out was my right lamp on front bumper. It's not a fog lamp but whatever you call it. It was under warranty, but I replaced it myself because its easy and faster than bringing it in and have to wait.

Bulbs are one of those things that some of them only last a year or two, some of them much longer.

My Olds is 11 1/2 years old now. A turn signal bulb and side marker bulb burned out a several years ago, but the headlights and brake lights are still the originals, and all still working.

Start paying attention to 1999-2007 Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras.
Most of them you see will have at least one of the daytime running lights out.

On my 2000 Silverado, I have replaced the bulb in the passenger side daytime running light 5 or 6 times over the years (I bought the truck new).

BUT, it is still on the factory original head light, turn signal and tail light bulbs.

It is just for some reason, these trucks are constantly blowing the bulbs in the daytime running lights.

The lifespan of a light bulb is very unpredictable. They are susceptible to vibration and other environmental factors.

900 a 1 halo?
or the entire headlight with halo?
I can get an entire projector assembly x2 for 600 on my g35 which was way more expensive than the Chevy all the way around.
and if it did burn that quick id be using the warranty on it.

that doesn't sound right at all.
and if it is I'll have them ripped out and put in aftermarket halos if they burn.

That is because the DRL's are constantly on...I still can't see how they make cars safer with them on..on the Caddy's, they are usually amber, and those are more noticeable.
