Cornhole!!! (I mean JT...) Get out of bed! What do you think this is, spring break? How'd the wisdom teeth go?

Speaking of cornhole...I've got some custom boards being made by a master carpenter...my dad. They're going to be NightOwl branded. He's going to deliver them in a few weeks, and then we're going to paint them when he's here. After that, we're going to "Night them up" if you know what I mean.

I know this a little to late with my Mustang! Went to change plugs, drove it to get the plugs, came home, let it cool for a couple of hours, changed them, and bam, had plugs start blowing out because the aluminum heads/threads got stripped! Now 5 of my plug holes have heli coils in them!

Really? Wow... This is actually the first time I've ever heard of this happening in any of the build threads/DIY headers install threads. You're saying you stripper the threads on the *engine block* Is anyone sure his applies to Camaro's and not just the mustang?

I don't even see any threads on the aluminum headers, I thought the bolt passed through and threaded only into the engine block. So are you saying the bolt is steel but the threading on the block is aluminum? Guess that makes sense as it's an aluminum block engine.... But... Yikes.

The issue is with aluminum heads and steel bolts or plugs.
When they are hot, they can remove the threads of the holes (cylinder heads)
The same applies to any aluminum tapped object.

You can put anti-seize on your bolts and plugs before they go in, so they dont stick when try to you take them out.
Beware it gets all over everything.

But then prepare yourself for the quest of the affordable ZL1. Cheapest I have found was one with a branded title at Buy Here, Pay Here somewhere up north for 48k. 53k is the about the going rate for used not crashed yet.

Then cough up 6.5% of fair market value to the DMV. You may get a break for a salvage title...

1LEs are alot more affordable and come with black wheels and stick.
