this is awesome....so many variables come into play here....some of you are likely right...some could be wrong....nobody can question the passion guys have for their brands..thats why i bought a camaro..my buddy has a 2011 mustang 5.0....i just dont like it nothing personal.....hes faster then me when we race....but my car is better looking the other 98 percent of the time were not racing....having a car a little slower but alot nicer overall is ok with me

That is so true. I couldn't agree more.
Plus there is always something faster.

Headers seem to be a thing that no one wants to do and take a little while to take care of. Here is just a small list of people who have given their time slips to put in the 1/4 mile time thread. I know a lot of the mods that these guys have so if you want to know more on them you can ask and I will either look them up or tell you what they have as far as the engine is concerned.

That list isn't up to date either. Wbt has went 10.87 now. I also just realized they have my tire only time on there. Haha.

Also JPC car that went 9's with bolt ons is a pure race car. Has a race weight of 26xxlbs.

And ya if doing headers in 2 hours your a bad mofo.

Do you still have the stock midpipe/cats? Might be able to pick up some more if you swap those out.

I love taking off from a light at partial throttle and short shifting from 1st all the way to 6th knowing I can destroy my tires at any second and make a lot of bad ass v8 noise...and I get that feeling all the time with 70hp at the wheels less than you lol I'm envious man. Plus, I love the torque/gearing combination of an SS(still love my 5 liter too). It feels like you're surfing and being propelled by a big ass wave.
This is how most should think. Having had many cars over the years (most modded), overall drivability is at the top of my list. My goal was a fast street car (low 12's - high 11's). I have seen many people modding theirs cars to compete with someone they know and wind up with a car that is no fun to drive under the curve. Just my two cents...

I would get rid of the spool unless you want the Mustang only for drag racing as it seems to take the fun out of driving it around the turns.

That is true, the other one that they run in the sealed coyote class low 10's with the stock coyote IIRC and into the 9's when they threw a CAI/Tune and possibly headers at it but again race car on that one.

If its stock, manual car 3.73 option it should be a good race. If its an auto you will pull quick as they take forever to down shift with out a tune. If he drops it down and shifts it should be decent run with you still winning.

I cant stress how important drag radials are now that you are making that power. If you think you had a hard time hooking up and getting a sub 2.0 60ft before your in for a real challenge now trying to do it on street tires. I can also pretty much garantee your trap will be higher when you hook up vs spinning.

Friday is the day. I'm very excited, and nervous at the same time. Highest I trapped before the cam was 113.5 I hope I gained atleast 2.5 mph. anything more than that would be awesome. That's my biggest concern. Do you guys think trap speed can be affected by the 60 ft. Assuming I Can cut a a 1.9 60 ft vs a 2.1 60 ft. Would my trap get affected ?
