Didn't have time to assemble the intake yesterday due to the travel time headed to my destination. Put it together and installed it today... I decided to go with an earlier box/heat shield make and the lid I brought with me didn't quite fit... With no access to "real" tools, I was forced to whittle the polycarbonate lid with my pocket knife for an hour to get it to fit the box I brought.

Anyway here are some pics of the latest build, and the maf piece, keep in mind this is still not a "nice production" piece. I put some self sealing silicone tape around the tube pieces where the maf piece was placed. Production pieces most likely won't have this.

I'm off to drive around, monitor fueling and such. Drag strip tomorrow assuming it doesn't start raining.

Oh this is looking good. I may have to buy another Camaro just so I can run a Cold Rush.

Wouldn't the thickness of the maf section inside the tube disrupt airflow along the edge of the silicone tube when it hits that different diameter edge? Seems to me that the surface inside the tube should be without any obstruction or abrupt diameter change. Just throwing that out there, I don't know airflow dynamics.

Of course Jason will know but I assume if the bevel is gradual enough it won't pose a problem. That's what testing is for.

You can tune the maf tube by adding a hump, ramp, shark fin etc to change the flow across the sensor itself. The bevel looks pretty smooth as is.

Keep in mind when you produce these, not to advertise them for any kind of supercharged setups. A blower will easily collapse the silicone, and thats a recipe for disaster. N/A you'll have no issues, I like the heat insulated silicone design from that aspect.

correct me if im wrong, but isn't the silicone insulation a SLEEVE that goes over the intake tube? that being said, there should be no issues with collapsing.
