Brenda, that meet n greet was actually last year in 2012, i believe Steve said he counted 49 Camaro's in the parking lot at Dick's in the rain!

(It was cool!)
I'm aiming to try at Wally's in August. That's why this year I got permission to use the Buckley Log Show grounds. It's a large grassy area next to Wally's that has hosted car shows in the past. I'm guessing we could fit 100 cars easy. And if we were to somehow surpass that; the streets that run along the Log Show grounds and the park behind Wally's are wide open for parking, yet still close.

How many people showed up at Wally's last year? I don't remember off the top of my head.
The best count I got was 25 cars. It may have been more because we attracted some that just happened to be driving by. At least 22 were 5th gens. I made the first post about the meet only about a week and a half before it happened. Also there was Seafair, and other events going on that weekend. Dick's had been brewing for a couple of months, if memory serves, and got 50. So I'm hoping that this time around, with a 5 month lead, that will give people plenty of time to jump onboard.
One good thing is that being August, we had sun all day.

It did! I have photographic evidence:

But it was right at the end, and most people had left. I can't complain though, it was a great meet that Tim put on.

Whoa! Now we're talking about a cruise. And it gets bigger with every post. If you're looking for something like that, consider the Sturgis run in June. I believe there are several Camarovans forming around the NW, with some even planning to join up with others along the way.
Some of us had been working on a Cruise up the N California coast ending in Newport, OR. It was even posted up on here a couple months back, but it had to be cancelled due to lack of interest.

Are you thinking Windy Ridge? You can take the steps to the top of the hill, (a LOT of steps) and the parking lot is below, with the volcano and Spirit Lake in the background. Someone mentioned May, and the off season would give the best chance of getting a large chunk of of the parking lot for a group photo. But I'm not sure when the road opens up. It might just depend on if the weather stays mild and the snow goes out early.

Oopsie! I saw the date on the first post in the thread. LOL

We weren't big on C5 when we first got the car, too busy driving it hahahaha

Well if a rainy day can get 49, a sunny day should be no problem!!

I really like the idea f maybe cars from the north meet up with the cars from the south at a central location like St. Helens. Memorial Day weekend might not work for some but who knows.

I think this sounds like a fun time. It works for me if there is enough advanced scheduling as I travel for work and need to give notice so the schedule can be prearranged.

That is the Windy Ridge area . You go to Randle then south , it's a very cool drive . One miniute you are in green forest then drive into the blast zone with trees broken like toothpicks , and still 17 miles from the Mt Saint Helen's crater

OK - so there's our group up here (PNWCC, WW5GCC) and y'all down south of us CRCC(??) is there a way to schedule somethign where we could meet somewhere in between or coordinate a trip to St. Helen's? Is there a meet already scheduled that we can try to meet up with?

Trying to put stuff up on our group calendar.
