That's a pretty valid point you have there.

That could happen, then they could also have ZL1s sitting on dealer lots bc people are buying the cheaper better/equal performing option. The ZL1 then loses its appeal as the top of the line camaro, bc a model with less power and that costs less performs just as well if not better.

Maybe it would be more of a problem for the dealers

Or people would drop the extra coin for the ZL1 to get all the comfort goodies that don't belong on a Z/28.

Boy did that go over your head....
Did you read my post? I said around the same price point, not costs less for the same performance. There are many here that love the performance level of the ZL1 but won't buy one because of the FI. Now if they had a Choice of another Camaro with similar performance for the same price then like I said Chevy could actually increase sales.
Then again make the LS7 a no cost option for the ZL1 and forget a new model all together.

There's some people (me included) that like the performance of the ZL1 but don't want the supercharger, mag ride suspension, and the weight. Making the Z/28 a stripper model car with the LS7 and pricing it around the ZL1 would give people like me the car we want but doesn't exist.

I did miss that at the same price point of your post. I was still going on from my posts a page or two back all guesstimating a "Z28 or LS7 1LE" would come in around 50K offering perfomance on par or better than the 54K ZL1.

LS7 as an option on ZL1 that is a great idea IMO.

Carry on sir haha

After the C7 disaster they may have plugged the leaks. Besides if its just a cosmetic refresh its not like they need to do road tests, and if its performance upgrades they can put them in a 2013 and drive them around and nobody would notice.

This reminds me of the Trans Am and Formula Firebirds. One for the guy thats wants it all and one for the more focused indidvidual. Choices, ya gotta love it!

Oh yeah the formulas were awesum. I had a Formula Fiero it had all the running gear of the GT but looked like a 4 cylinder Fiero.

Idea an LS7 powered Camaro with 1LE suspension that looks like an LT.

I really wish they'd do a stripped down version of the camaro like you could do the formula (although most of the formulas that found their way to dealer's lots were loaded)

There's a week left until we know for sure. I'm tired of waiting and want to know.

Having both available would give people a choice between a FI or NA car with similar performance.
