Just do a search for a boost chart. They're here somewhere. They show the different size pullys in different combinations and what each combination generates as far as boost.

Be very carefull what pullys you chose, too much boost will ruin your engine in a heartbeat if it hasn't been beefed up appropriatly.

Too much boost can destroy your engine depending on what internals you are using, and the wrong set of pully combinations can overspin the SC and damage it.

2.55 upper which requires removing the snout and having a reputable shop to remove and press on the new pulley. Many now use a 2.38 upper with no problems. I chose to leave the upper stock and swap the lower to a 9.55" ring and ATI balancer. Works great! My boost is now at 13-14 psi vs 8.6 stock.

Thank you

Thank's guy's, i really apreciate your help, i will consider all the info you have given me, tomorrow i will go and get my ZL1 from the dealership to start doing some modifications, the goal is to make a 700 rwhp, with the stock engine. I want to make it a low 10' sec. car, i already have a 408 stroker in case the stock one breaks.

Stephen, do you know what HP and Torque increases would result from this lower pulley change only, as a stand-alone mod?
Thanks.

as a "stand alone" mod it is ok but you might as well do at the very least a cold air induction and throttle body because a tune is required for the larger ringed pullies(9.1 or larger). From the screwy things the computer tries to adjust in the fueling and MAF, I believe for the most security and highest hp increases...get a pro to dyno tune after these mods. 9.55 pulley ring on a lower only will produce 13 psi boost vs 8.6 stock....so a 4psi difference. My bet is 50hp/tq with pulley only and much greater with mods that complement the pulley. Jannetty has a "no tune" pulley swap setup with a smaller ring and rotofab air intake which can be good for 75ish hp/tq for little effort.

how much boost is possible with a good tune and stock bottom end….say 17 psi.
i have 850 injectors, cold air kit, headers, cat back, yella tera roller rockers, ati ballancer, heat exchanger with fans and the reservoir. will probably get heads and a cam as well. thanks

…………………….never mind, found the answer to my question………...

Keep thinking of playing with a 5% or 10% pulley for a little extra fun on track days.

I have a A6, see mods below. I recently found out that with the 2.5 Upper and the 9.55 Lower, My car was sucking the fuel lines dry. I am lucky that I did not blow up my motor, I did melt several plugs. If you try to do a pulley combo or go much above 600 RWHP, you will have to change out the fuel system. Right now I am trying out a Boost a pump from lingenfelter. I have had a lot of people tell me that will not fix my fuel issues, so I might have to upgrade to a Squash Fuel system or something compatible. make sure you keep an eye on that fuel pressure, it needs to be as close to 65PSI as possible, mine was falling to 40 and that is no bueno. Just wanted to throw that out there, This last upper pulley swap is costing me a lot of money now that I have to upgrade the fuel system.
