New style SLP TVS2300 installed

Made the plunge and had the new TVS2300 installed in my 2010 SS. Prior to the install, it was making 334/352 with BBK LTs, BBK HF cats, Dynomax 3" cat-back, vmax TB, Volant CAI, and a mail order tune. The car is sitting quietly in my garage awaiting my return from Afghanistan.

I have been following the thread on fuel delivery so I also purchased a ZL1 FP, 72# injectors, ADM FPCM, smaller pulley which will go on when I return and take it to be tuned.

I have a set of off-road connectors to replace the cats, because I have also been following the thread about hf cats failing. I contacted BBK, and while they admit to not having tested FI applications with their cats, they also have no reports of a cat failing under boosted use.

Any thoughts

I'm in the same situation as you. I got mine running with the blower a few days ago and am running kooks HF cats. Not sure what I should do yet. I'm sure I would be able to sell them for enough to buy the off road connectors, but I really don't want to replace them if I don't have to. I am only running the 3.8 pulley.I have heard mixed opinions of this also.On top of that, I have four friends who are also running Magnuson superchargers and they have high flow cats and have had no problems over the past couple of years.

I got mine from JRE. IIRC it is 91mm. I was talking to SLP on Thursday and they told me they have a 76mm pulley as well!!

SLP Stage II is a 91mm, so that is what Jess ordered for me...Stage 1 was 98mm...I can't imagine doing 76mm.

On the thread about the cats failing, I think I distinctly remembered the Kooks cats being named as a consistent fail under boost...I could be wrong...

91mm is good.

SLP's site recommends forged internals for the 12 psi boost of the 74mm pulley.

NOTE: SLP does not recommend installing this pulley on a stock factory engine. We highly recommend installing this pulley on a built engine with forged internals specifically designed for high boost applications.

Yeah....don't see myself dropping the cash for that...I'd rather save for a ZR1....

Cats and boost don't like each other. Remove them before they fail. It's not a question of if but when. You will also pick up a little hp/torque for doing so. I had kooks I didn't give them a chance to fail, they were throwing off a lot of heat.

There's all kinds of stuff out there. I added to 2 tiny vibrant racing mufflers where the cats were. It does kinda look like what it's supposed to look like for obvious reasons. It really took the car from being too loud to right where I like it. It was great $150 spent and picked up about 15 hp and 20 torque.

I think the other stuff is listed as off road pipes.
