Very nice car, but when you start adding all the options you might need especially A/C, your price goes up and your h/p goes down.
I'll take a pair of those seats too. |

Just my $.02:
Anyone looking for a terrific track car will be very happy with the 'base' Z/28. I'm quite happy with my ZL1 purchase. I'm not on the track much at all. Living in the South, a/c is a no brainer, and adding that would negate a lot of the weight advantage of the Z/28. To get the most out of the CC brakes that came on the ZR1, one needs to burnish them. I almost got arrested burnishing those CC brakes. There's no real public place to perform the job. I would like to think Chevrolet has a different burnishing requirement on the Z/28 than the ZR1. Since they've removed the sound deadening, I hope they leave in the type of fender liners that are designed to reduce the pinging sound pebbles make in the wheel wells. That is extremely annoying driving around the street. My wife didn't like that bit at all in a car we owned. Looks are subjective. Personally I like the looks of the '10-'13 more (especially the rear), but I would still be happy if I owned the '14. |

Sorry. CAFE standards alone will be making V8 performance more expensive as we move forward............that guess is simply not realistic. That said, we have not priced the Z/28 yet and it will be some time before we do so..... Meanwhile - we will continue to build the ZL1 for 2014...... One note: the 2014 ZL1 retains the front styling of the '12/'13 car. The ZL1 is a car you can live with each day.....the Z/28 is a track car -- it's not nearly as liveable. Two different Camaros for two different purposes.

Looking at the pictures they introduced the P Zero Trofeo R on the Z/28.
This are serious motorsport tyres. This an the smaller wheels will haver serious impact on the lap times. Much more expensive though than the Goodyears. And definitely worse in the cold then those. Overall. Love it. ![]() |
