Regret not getting a 2SS?

Newbie post here.

I like my gadgets and Bluetooth iPhone as much as the next guy as really like the nostalgic look of the 4 pod guage console. Trying to decide if it is worth the extra coins.

Please let me know your thoughts. I currently work 2 miles from home, if I still worked 60 plus miles away I think I could justify it.

Get what you WANT and can AFFORD. This is how I made my decision. Am I going to buy a camaro, yes. Step two what is the top of the line most options I can order, 2SS/RS. Step three can i afford this car? Yes I can, so thats what i got. If i was gonna make this type of purchase i wanted the top of the line, now I'm just hoping I don't have to trade up to a Z/28 in a few years.

I don't have my 1SS yet but the only thing I might miss is the leather seats but I just can't afford it.

I love my 2SS but if I was worried about money I would've got 1SS /RS package. Really wish I would've went with that love the halo lights! But Gauges and I.phone addapter are sweet!!!

I kinda regret getting the 1SS over the 2SS--if you got the money, I would do it. What is it--like, an extra $65.00 added on your monthly payment for the 2SS--If that.

I have a 1SS because that is what I wanted. In Florida, black leather seats can be brutal. Also, this is going to be a very high performance vehicle and is not a "commuter". But hats off to all of the people that wanted the leather and electronics that come with the 2SS.

Very happy with 1SS. Gadgets and frills cost money. I looked at the ambient lighting, gagues, halo lights, etc, and decided Cyber Gray with two tone grey cloth fits the bill just fine. Automatic, stripes, and floor mats, thats all.

Ive had my 1SS for 3 weeks love it. When I ordered it back in October my plan was to save a few bucks and have the 4 pack gauges installed after I got it as I really like the looks of the gauges. The rest of the stuff I could take or leave really. Unfortunatley you cant even order the damn gauges yet and dont know when the hell you can order them. This is my fun car and not a daily driver. However, I have been in this car every day driving it every chance I get. I love this car. I have 1,325 miles on it just driving it after work and on weekends. I kinda wish now that I would have went with the 2SS. It is also kinda tough when you order a car that you have never seen or drove before. If I had it to do over I would have gone with the 2SS.

Love my 1ss, dealer called me today and my guages came in, only thing that i wanted above a 1ss, I just could not get past the glowing door panels on the 2ss, I'm supposed to get off from work Friday around noon, taking the Camaro to the dealer and installing the guages myself then going to get the dealer to flash the ecm.

My impressions of the 2SS since I own it and paid for it....

1. Most of the seat is not leather. Many of the items that are "leather" are not like the armrest.

2. ABL is cool but can live without it

3. Gauges is something you can always add later via aftermarket or OEM.

I would get a 1SS and use the 3k to mod the car but thats just me.

Camaromaniac, who is your dealer? My dealer has been telling me that he cannot get the gauges yet?

No regrets buying the 1SS at all. I was after as much of a retro feel as I could get and felt the cloth interior fit the bill. I will be putting the car away in the winter so heated leather really didn't have any appeal. Myother car has leather and it does get clammy in the summer even with the air on. I'm not huge into gadgets so the bluetooth and USB weren't important either, I can still hook up my ipod. Steering wheel controls are nice but when you are sitting in the car the radio controls are well within reach. I did add the RS package 'cause the halos were way too cool to pass up. Get what ever turns your crank, if it's the 2SS, just save up a little longer 'til you can afford it.
