Yes the actually do, two of the wheels (not sure which ones) have rings around them. When I had them removed and dismounted when I put my Niches on, the place in Watertown rushed taking them off and made the gloss black look really dull around the whole wheels in a ring like pattern. So there def not perfect.

LOL so when SSTOKED was trying to get powdercoated wheels I said could hook him up, I opened the nichie boxes and boom, I found those rings around two wheels... it was over a year later, so I couldnt even call and complain.. Yeah they got me pretty good also.. I feel they new they messed up, cause when i showed up the had my stock wheels in the niche boxes taped up... lol.

I'm no lawyer, but I think that if there was any damage to your vehicle, their insurance would have to cover it. I'm not sure about loose contents, but they should be responsible for securing your property while it was in their possession for hire. "Comp'ing you some work" at retail value gets them off at half price or less in wholesale costs.
This was brought up by the police also, but leads me into another issue and gets a lil complicated. One of my best friends works there part time (basicaly to keep his tools there and use the lifts when needed) hence why I didnt say the name of the shop in the orignal post. I even did my first cam install in there with my buddy and didnt pay a thing, so this place has been good to me (well my friend is) even with inspections, my car isnt or hasnt been exactly street legal lol. So now its like what do I do? My Durango was put up there by him, thats where he was gonna work on it, there was never a work order, but they did have the keys.

Im kinda stuck, but my buddy feels someone from the shop or goes there a lot might have taken them, he wants a lil time to try to find them first. This shop hasnt had really history of theft at all.

Hello All

Hello All,

I will be in the capital district area for about 2 weeks in May, road tripping it from New Mexico. I am wondering if there is any shows or just meetups in the area (even up in saratoga) during the weeks of 11 may - 25 May

Thank you

There will be several, I'm sure. It's just that it's still winter here and there's not much activity about local shows yet, but will be soon. Check the first post of this thread under 'Upcoming Events' over the next few weeks. Also, check in on the Hudson Valley C5 thread in this section... welcome to the great white frozen north, lol.

Glad to help. We usually try to meet up every 2 weeks at Sylvan Beach on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, just east of Syracuse. However, this cruise-in doesn't start until I believe the Thursday before Mem Day. That would make the first one the 23rd of May, so you might try to meet us for that one. There's usually about 400+ cars there. (I mean total, not just Camaros, lol)

I did, whats the problem, just mounting it? You relocated the washer tank? I just removed mine a couple weeks ago.

Don't forget you have to cut a little portion of the black plastic towards the front of the bumper.

I installed one on mine as well. It was a tight fit, and I ended up cutting off an existing nut that was welded to the car to fit it better. The kit gave me a new bolt and nut and the instructions seemed to indicate the old, shorter bolt and nut would just come off, but the nut was welded on. Once I got that off it fit fine (but still tight).

As in the posts above you have to cut that plastic piece. The front of the scoop will be visible from the front grill of the car and you can reach in and touch the scoop.

Hope we have helped, but if not then give us more info - pictures would be great.

Don't cut that nut off. (I almost did, too) Just thread the new screw into it. I also found that it was better to make the vertical cut ⅜" to ½" up the plastic "points". I was having figment issues also, so I looked at it from under the bumper to see what was up. I ended up taking the Dremel with a straight router bit to trim more off from this vantage point. Sorry, I didn't take pics.

As Mark Said, We do sylvan beach every two weeks.

Also, there's a cruise in at cicero every tuesday that several of us tend to show up at. Would love to have you with us.

We generally post up here in this thread if we're going to be heading somewhere. Formal meet ups are on the front page, although we do occasionally have smaller, impromptu meetups as well.

Have a great and safe trip up to the frozen north.
