Generally if you stay around 80 in a 65 in NJ they will leave you alone...once you cross into 4 point ticket territory, you have to watch out.

Looks like rt 80 - the troopers have been swarming it lately. You're lucky they didn't mail the gold card back to the cop who gave it to you (yes they can do that if they're in a bad mood or if you're rude); don't take it for granted! Never go above 80 mph in a 65 in NJ Always a thrill, nevertheless

Granted I am not a state trooper, however I am a California city cop. I don't believe in radar guns and I don't use one. The only speeding ticket I give is if you put people's safety in danger. Most cops are good people and aren't out to get you. I believe American muscle cars should be driven how they were meant to be driven. I drive mine like that, and I am not hypocritical. Trooper probably appreciated your honesty and cooperation. Respect gets respect. Now use that extra $400 dollars you just saved and do something nice for your ride. :-)

Those were his exact words actually. Because I was honest and respectful with him. First question he asked was how was my license. I told him clean and apologized for speeding. But I think the gold card helped me out a lot though.

It's a metal gold family member card. It's like a pba card but better.
