Your the one with something to prove, lol. Would you like to race me from a 60 mph dig, lets say to a 160 or so?

I don't do illegal street racing. Plus we couldn't post the results up on here lol.

C'mon don't pull a skittles(srt4) move, that's not original lol. "Skittles move" is something fwd turbo owners with 300+ whp like to do, only 60+ mph roll racing.

My wife buried our neighbors g37 in her G8 GT after he wouldn't leave her alone on the road. To quote our neighbor "It wasn't good". She had a canned tune, he has a CAI, and hi flow cats.

Ill be glad to post up some runs from the airport roads if he is willing to line his beast up with me. He had to drive our G8 home for me once his exact words were. "Your transmission must be off, it jerks off the line and under hard acceleration." LOL. I told him welcome to the world of 400+ torque.

Cool, g37 coupes are about 300 lbs heavier then sedan btw.

I beat one of those g8 gt's in my v6 accord from 20-100 twice(same encounter with ls1 gto as well on the same night), he had dumped exhaust and no tips. I would post vids but airport runway vids in mexico aren't allowed here.
For some reason he was upset that he lost to a v6 accord and wouldn't roll down his window or acknowledge my presence at all afterwards.
There's nothing more fun then beating stuck up v8 owners in a little sixer.

Just because your engine is twice the size of mine doesn't mean you are faster at any speed in any place, that's caveman mentality.

We both live in OK.

Scared? It's okay I understand man...
So...it's set then. Let us know who wins at the dragstrip

Never understood why they designed the coupe that way..

You sure it wasn't a V6 model. They look almost identical. If you did beat a V8 G8, it couldn't have been by much. Watch out for the GXP's though.

It's because of side impact crash members and bracing.

Yes it was a G8 GT, my v6 accord puts a few car lengths on the g35 from a roll and like I said anyways.... his exhaust was dumped, he had no mufflers.
Yes I have lost to my friend cai/tb/headers/tune g8 gt in the g35 bad, but stock v6 vs modified v8.... that's expected.

Thunder valley is slick as snot and v8 manual cars on street tires are a PITA to launch and hook there, my friend's mach 1 traps 105 but his best time was 13.8 hitting every gear perfectly. It's a track that's not nice to inexperienced manual(on this surface) drivers.... I was there last weekend and some guys in vq35de's 350Z's were there. One sound straight piped and couldn't break 14's and trapped 95 as best; one had hood off and full bolt ons ran a best of 14.4 @ 98, but he did run 13.6 @ 104 mph on 75 shot of nitrous; then another's best time was 14.6 @ 97.

Back to the point Automatic>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Manual at the dragstrip on street tires.

If he doesn't want to go to dragstrip he's not obliged too.

Good Lord...why did I allow myself to post here again.... Oh well here goes.

The above statement is false. 91 octane does not cause the SS to run in low octane mode. Only when ran on less can that occur.

It is completely hilarious that you will quote magazine times for the G35/G37/370Z....WHATEVER. Then you go further and say drivers can typically get a better time than that. But when it comes to magazine times for the SS....well the excuses start FLYING!!

300 lbs! Of course! Let's just say 500 lbs!

Even tho C+D lists the G37 couple as being 100 lbs more than the G35 sedan, while having almost 10% (330 vs 306) more horsepower, and therefore having a better power to weight ratio than the G35. What a rag that is. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...port-road-test
Yet they still got that same 13.9 second 1/4 mile, just like the amazing G35. Must be it wasn't broken in yet, unlike all the other cars that they test which of course come from the factory pre-broken in.

Tell us more about the mighty G35 please! How many buslengths can you put on a Z06, with that clunky pushrod motor? I'm guessing 5 bus lengths.

-patiently waiting for the next amazing G35 tale,

Okay, when are you going to exit the land of bench racers and come into the real world ? Don't try to educate me about my own car dumbass. My car weighed 3545 lbs at the weigh station, my friend's G37 coupe weighed 3790 lbs. You are an idiot. These races were on same night, same da, same temp, same track.... don't compare times from different conditions. I have come to expect more from a professional bench racer like yourself, shame. Stock camaro SS l99 isn't that fast, and g35 isn't that slow; quit fantasizing the Camaro ss like it's some mystical unbeatable car and put it in the same league as a Z06. Also quit quoting some magazine times when I already posted 5 timeslips of me running faster then those magazine times. If the truth is a tale, then what is the truth ? Watch the vids and read the thread, you are being ignorant of what I have posted(timeslips, vids, pics, etc.).

Well then I, nor the owner, have any excuse for the car being the speed it is from the factory. I only responded to magazine times to show how inaccurate they can be, if anything this thread is good evidence for that.
