The Feels..

Does anyone else feel completely hindered by their 6?
I bought the car not knowing I'd be racing, modding, being a part of the C5 community..
and If I had known I would have gotten an 8.
Im kind of stuck with it in my life situation right now..
but when ever I go to car meets and im the only chevy against all these loud v8 mustangs and ~mopars~ I feel as though I lack..
Idk... really wanting a 1LE right about now.. just not in my reach at the moment..
feels like im missing a clutch as well....
anyone else relate?
Probably not the first time this has been posted but Im gonna be -that guy- tonight.

Mehh . .. Not really. My car choices are around the camaro stats, 2 door good looking car around 300 hp and rwd. I dont aspire to have a 10 sec car as of the moment but it would be nice to have one too. I'm happy that I can go fast from 0-legal speed limit haha coz thats what matters more to me to have a steady, daily driver that I can play with when I feel like it and I do most of my driving around the city and just few highway driving. I recently just had a kid and about to graduate college so my priorities is far more than buying the fastest car out there, rather I make the most out of what I have and that also apply to how I live life itself.

No, not really.

Buy fast or build fast...your choice.

There are other options. Go to the FI section, you will be pleasantly surprised at what your V6 can really do. I love showing up these V8.
Part of the fun are the mods themselves. You really can do most yourself with just a little time and $ of course.

I do. I wish I had manual aswell...

But instead of "wishing" I decided this year to do something about it...

I want my car to be faster then a v8 and its given me some... life back into the car to say the least...

I am installing a cold air intake and long tube headers and high flow cats aswell as 100hp of nitrous...

I can't wait! And I can't wait to race my first v8 in this setup!

I don't, got the M6 and love it every second. Now I would like a V8 in the future, and driving my dads zo6 is a tease. But it's a great car to learn on. Still amazed with the mods you can do to wake it up.

NOPE, I spent allot of time researching mine to fit all my needs. Got the best of both worlds. Needed a new daily commuter for work that got decent mileage, it was this or a cobalt. Glad I went this route. I have great handling now, fantastic looks, runs a very decent 1/4 mile, gets compliments all the time.

The V8 model would have been nice, but the similar 2SS model but that was another 7K. Plus more fuel and higher insurance.

I don't regret my decision at all.

You want more power. So you have two options.

Buy the V8, which will be like everyone else's unless you dump a bunch more money into it to make it a real monster.

Or be unique and add forced induction to your car, and let everyone in your group appreciate the fact that your V6 makes around 400rwhp and can run a 12 second quarter.

Unless you want big huge power that only a forced induction V8 could get you, theres no reason why a FI V6 shouldn't do the trick for you. Exhaust sound would be the only difference, but nothing LT headers, and a resonated X pipe can't help to correct.

I'm VERY happy with my V6. It has enough power to do what I need and expect. I can also hang with the SS boys when I need to. Racing? Nah... Not my cup of tea anymore.

Thought long and hard when I bought my first 2011 2LT/RS and about 8 months later due to paint issues GM replaced it. So there I was in the perfect position to upgrade and I loved the first one so much I never even considered anything other than my 2013 2LT/RS CRM.
