EBay freakin rules!!!

So the waterproof plastic on my knight rider scanner tore so I need to replace it. So I could either replace it directly through AAC or find one on EBay.

So I go on eBay and there is AAC with a white scanner for sale. So let's compare:

Through AAC directly: $59.95
Shipping: $15.00
Total: $74.95

Same scanner from AAC on eBay: $49.95
Shipping: $9.95
EBay bucks savings: $11.29
Total: $48.61

Yup. EBay rules!!!

I was just curious what you guys do? Are a lot of you mechanics or have mechanical backgrounds?

Like I said in my earlier post, I've wanted a Camaro since I was 10 but have always just had cars that got me from A to B and weren't thought of afterwards. Now that I have my Camaro and I'm ready to start playing with her and doing my modding and such I find myself super excited, albeit, a little nervous.

I'm a composer by trade, no real mechanical background to speak of. I'm not helpless, I change my own oil, know how to plug a flat, know the difference between a crank shaft and a window crank lol, but Ive never really dove in and done stuff with my car . I feel it would be cheating or at least, less fulfilling, to take mods to someone else to do, at least ones that should be easily done yourself, but I am indeed a bit nervous that I'll screw something up. =)

Having someone pick out the mods on your car,put them on and then brag about it is like someone banging your wife then bragging about the kid.
