Been holding out for a 9" just a lot of options the new gforce kit looks great. I had a lot of fuel issues that I had to address first and my daily driver died. Timing belt went on the highway, so I had to get a new car which set me back.

I broke mine doing a burnout with my 22's and I never wheel hopped the car either. Stock clutch too still your really asking for trouble LOLI like the hammerhead set up and I can buy the axles now and they will still fit the hammerhead later. Not sure if Gforce has the same deal.

Guys, since you all live here, I want to share this with you.
I posted this on the general forum too, but it applies to you more. Today I took my new week old Camaro in to have it's rally stripe package put on. While I was there, the GM of the dealership grabs me and says, "Hey, I was going to call you today, come to my office, you need to hear this." Here's the back story. In 2006, my wife and I had gotten tired of out 70+ hour work weeks and the doldrums that came with wasting away our 20's tied to "High power" jobs. We sold everything we owned, The house, car, furniture... EVERYTHING.. We put on a couple backpacks and left to travel the world. We had been to 30+ countries on 5 continents when we arrived in Viet Nam. While we were there, a highly unlikely series of events led to me being offered a job I couldn't refuse and consequently we ended up living there until Dec of 2011. The downside? Upon returning, we had NO credit. Not bad credit, we had always had sparkling credit, but not having any open lines of credit for 6 years gave us no trackable history as far as the banks were concerned. As a result, in buying my Camaro, though I got a great deal on the car, I was getting hit pretty hard in interest. This really annoyed the GM of the dealership. He constantly was saying things like, "You live a debt free life, you owe nothing to anyone, you expand your horizons by traveling and the banks want to punish you for it." What I didn't know, is that for the past week that I've owned the car, he had been mulling this over and working on things for me. The end result? He found that if he dropped the price of the car by 300 dollars it put me in a different "tier" of credit risk from the bank and if I bought gap insurance through him (which I hadn't originally) he'd make back the 300 dollars. So he restructured my deal and in doing so my percentage dropped from 14.25% to 7.25% which equated to nearly 80 dollars less a month and that is INCLUDING the gap insurance.. He had no reason to do this other than just trying to help me out. He really went above and beyond and in turn has made a customer for life.. I'd give a shameless plug here, but i don't know if the powers that be would consider it advertising. (That's what I said in general forums but it was Oasis Chevrolet on rt 9 in Old Bridge.) I'm so very taken aback by this. I have never had such a positive feeling about a dealer ever in my life.. Just wanted to share the story. I know dealers get a bad rap, but this one... As far as I'm concerned, a class of their own. |
