No comparison...you need to compare the Camaro SS and the SRT8...Camaro all the way. My buddy has a Challenger SRT 392 Hemi...on paper it's quicker, but that's on paper.

This question is kinda goofy when your comparing a 392 hemi to a V6 camaro. That's a apples to grape fruit comparison. IMO the op should test drive all 4 of the current muscle cars that are all close performance wise(mustang 5.0,camaro SS,challenger 392 and charger 392) and see what he likes best.

Really? i guess if you want better gas mileage or HAVE to have a coupe regardless the Camaro may be better, but let's take a trip to reality here, ANY year Charger SRT is not only going to feel faster, it is absolutely going to rame a V6 Camaro in every performance category.

why would you look at a SRT8 Charger and a V6 Camaro. I'd be looking at an SS over the 2LT. I'd rather have a 1ss over a 2lt, you can add the 2 options and rs package. You can't really add the V8 engine on the V6's suspension, brakes, or chassis.
Look at an SS |

SRT8s are 45-50k
the Super Bee is 41k Drove a loaded SRT8 Charger - very very nice car and very fast. Also Procharger is selling 392 kits with a diablo tuner so the aftermarket is starting to open up. If you have a family or are looking at having one soon - go with the Charger. For some reason you are listing a V6 Camaro. If you have a choice you might be able to swing a used ZL1. Or if you need new then go with a 2SS 1LE. Cant go wrong with either but id probably opt for a new LS3 Camaro |

I really do not understand why these types of threads exist. My means of transportation is determined only by availability and my ability to pay for it in cash. Neither would I have asked for my parents to buy a nice car for me, nor would I have asked strangers for advice on which car to get. OP, if you wanted some advice, you really left out a lot of information. Are you paying on the car? Is your insurance in your name? What are your driving habits? Can you afford the fuel costs/maintenance/insurance? In your shoes, I would take the car money and invest it in myself. Get a degree or learn a new skill that will help you when you enter the workforce. |
