JusticePete, so no difference between the SS and ZL1 Diff bushings, i just need to buy an air hammer, knock them out and then replace with the ones off my stock diff?

I think i got a little off topic from this thread...if you click my sig, you can see status in my build thread.

I did end up breaking an axel at the track yesterday...on my 5th pass. So it turned into a long night getting a flatbed tow home. I only had a few hours to work on it, so i have the old drive train removed except for the trans flange...I have to buy the right socket this week. I expect to be back on the road next weekend. (going to be a busy week for me, so she'll be on jacks this week).

Is it a special socket or just a large size?

Big. I bought a deep 30mm socket today. It could also use a 1 3/16 deep. I had a socket to fit, but wasn't deep.

Are the axle nuts the 32mm as the stock SS one's? I think I remember reading the stock ones are 32mm.

Picked up the rest of the parts today, I think I may start taking her apart tomorrow. PS I have an extra trans flange nut and need one more axle nut.

Already got one on the way. Did you ever get a torque spec on the trans flange nut?
