Ceramic coated brake rotors??????

I won a gift certificate for $100 for ceramic coating. I talked with a rep from the company about different parts on my car that could be done. One option was the brake rotors. He said it would not impact on braking and would prevent the rusting. In time he said, the coating would look somewhat streaked but that it would still not rust & the braking would still not be effected. What say you my Camaro5 comrads?

AND if not the rotors, what would you get ceramic coated?

I will go for a nice coat under the car to give more protection against rust!

Perfect opportunity to buy some headers.....and have them ceramic coated!!! Never heard of having brake rotors ceramic coated......I'd be skeptical about that?!?!?

Total waste of money on the rotors which is a consumable part, an $8 can of caliper paint would do the same thing. Better off doing headers and paying a bit extra.

You don't use ceramic coatings for that purpose on the underside of a car. #1 it wouldn't adhere, #2 you couldn't cure it, #3 there's far better corrosion coatings out there.

Don't waste it on rotors. We haven't discussed headers yet but that would be the best use of the gift certificate.

i would not use it on the braking portion of the rotors...but the hub/hat and the splines and inside would look cool. like others have said the rotors will be trash eventually and is probably a waste of the gift certificate. headers or whole exhaust system from headers to tips would look cool. good luck
