You hate GM because either one of their dealers or a previous owner of this car didn't know how to install the front plate holder?

Good riddance.

Sucks but I have to ask; didn't you notice the screws when you lookede at the car originally? I'm sure there was no plate on it at the dealer so the screws were easily visible.

Might've had one of those cardboard dealer ads in place. Mine did.

Or maybe, since it was used, it came with plates. Used cars from the same state sometimes do (at least around here).

Welcome, but wow! Those pictures are quite revealing. I'm sorry you have encountered this issue. If you'd like to take the vehicle to a GM dealership, I can certainly assist in the process and possibly explore some options. Feel free to private message me your name, phone number, VIN number, and the vehicle mileage.

Chevrolet Customer Care
William,

I appreciate you responding to me on this thread. I contacted my Salesman today by phone and sent him those two pictures by email. This is his day off however. He said him and/or the head of his dealership will reach me tomorrow with what can be done, if anything. If they feel like the bumper shouldn't be fixed by them, I will then private message you in hopes of getting a resolution. Thank you very much for contacting me! This is exactly why I buy Chevy vehicles, great service!

A good body shop can plasti-weld it. No bondo as it could shrink and fall out. I would have it done regardless of who pays for it!!!! Sorry to see that. That pic makes me !!!

You asked the wrong question.....

You asked "how is it affixed"

You should had asked "has it EVER been affixed by screws"

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Some redneck owner or mechanic can't install something properly and you blame the company that built the car.

Here's your sign.
