Good Saturday morning. It is c-c-c-coooooooooooooooold here this morning. I just want to hold my coffee cup. I'll drink it when my hands warm up. I'm glad the folks in the Boston area were able to rest well last night. They are expecting a much larger turnout for the Music City Marathon next weekend because of the Boston tragedy. Hundreds of registrations have come in since then, greatly exceeding expectations. It is a huge event with not only the marathon & half marathon but also live bands performing on every block. They are saying to expect long lines for airport-like security checks. Local TV will cover it live. It should be great.

Afternoon all,
Finally got a Friday, Sat off and it's cool and rainy...wth.
Had a goo day yesterday. Went to Daytona Speedway for a few laps with the Richard Petty Experience. My wife Susan,brother John and his other half Lisa all got laps for X-mas....We had a blast. Put this on your bucket list as a must do....
I don't always have the time to post in the group but I do follow the goings on. Sound like y'all are a fun groups of people to hang with
We hope to meet most of you at the fest this year...

All my Ol Farts must be out having fun this weekend. That is great. I didnot wash Ruby. Too cold & realy she did not need it. Just used some detailer tp get the dust & bugs off then swept out the garage. I am having a few Rum & 7ups & watching a silly movie. Not bad stuff for a Saturday.

Yes, sounds like fun! My club was at Road Atlanta for the Grand Am races. The Stevenson Camaros won both races for their class! We got to take hot laps in the 1LEs and the ZL1 pace car with a Rolex series driver in the driver's seat! Hit 130MPH. Good day!

New to the forum, thought that this thread is where I belong. My 23 year old daughter told me that I was crazy for buying my '13 Black SS. She said only young guys and "chicks" drive those cars. My last Camaro was a '69 that was stolen in NJ in '79. I loved that car but now I'm in love again with my '13 SS. I can't help but smile every time I turn the key and hear that 6.2 rumblin'. She just doesn't understand. My first car was a '69 396 Chevelle, followed by a '71 SS Chevelle, then the stolen Camaro which was my last Chevy until I bought the '13 SS. Figured it was about time to take the plunge again and no regrets. Nice Don Knotts tribute, I don't live too far from where Andy G. called home for many years in Eastern NC. Nice to meet y'all.

Looks like everyone had a great time today doing motorsport type stuff.

It was sunny and in the low 90's today, so I went to a car show. Not very exciting compared to what everyone else did, but I had fun.

They run in a pack of three. We hit around 160 to 165. Close to 3gs in the turns, even with the banking. Got a whole new perspective on what it takes to be a NASCAR driver.

Wow! Diane that sounds like great fun. I'm jealous Michael & Diane. Welcome aboard ItsBlk. Yes, you have found a home here. Don't worry, many of our friends/family think we are crazy too. Well.........................they are right, crazy about our Camaros! It truly is an addiction. Have you caught the mod bug yet? Watch out for it. There is no cure but there is a great support group here.

It is going to be a warmer day here so maybe we can give the Crossfire a quick bath before going to visit my Dad & Mike's parents. If the 7 day forcast proves true I may drive the Crossfire on Tuesday & Ruby on Thursday. I have to start backing off on the Cruze so I don't go over the mileage limit. Once we get tires for Daddy's Girl (Dad's truck) I can drive it some too. HAGD everyone.
