Ooh brings back memories of my 88 S10 with the 350 SB and 2 speed power glide in it. I miss that truck. Was white with a purple engine.

Why are you looking for such an old s-10? They're not worth much around here, and for good reason. I don't think that there's any kind of particularly high demand for those vehicles...but the fact that they're so old probably limits supply, which isn't helpful if you're a buyer. Good luck...and I'd suggest stepping it up to a mid to late 90's model, which you should be able to find for cheap.

Not a bad looking truck and its a chevy? cause to me those wheels look like the Gmc version well from what I can see in the picture. Looks to have the grill painted as well. I bet its fun to drive with the stick even if the throws are long loll.

They are aftermarket wheels, unfortunately the two center caps on the drivers side are missing. I have to figure out what I am going to do about that. If anyone can help me identify the wheels here is a better picture of one with the center cap.

A couple reasons. First, used car prices (really, anything prices) are high...it's a side effect of inflation and currency devaluation.
Second, a 20 year old S-10 is better than a new Colorado.

I have never liked the Colorado, to me they just looked odd with the funky wheel wells and arches.

What's cool is its painted Victory Red like our Camaro, it's not the original color though. I owned an 87 S10 pickup, an 82 S10 Blazer and a 96 2 door S10 Blazer, so I have had some experience with S10s

He said it didn't have one when he got it . He had one of those tailgate nets on it but it finally wore out and he never replaced it. I ordered one for it. A lot cheaper than a replacement tailgate.

Used vehicle prices are high because the new car market imploded 5 years ago combined with an increased demand for more affordable vehicles. A lack of supply (plus a slight increase in demand for less expensive cars) causes prices to go up. Over those 5 years, there have been something like 20 million fewer cars sold than there normally would have been. That drives the prices up on nearly-new used cars, which in turn puts more pressure on slightly older cars, and so on and so forth until you have 20 year old trucks costing more than they should.
