The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

No RA for me yet. I'm doing this one in May.. http://www.heidtsperformancecarchall..._HPCC/info.asp

Scott and Bill talked me into doing it. They are going to be my "pit" crew for the weekend. Just found out tonight I have a brand new 1LE axle CV boot spewing grease all over. Sh*tty design in my opinion. Think after this season I'll be going with DSS axles like you did. I have a business trip this week so Scott is going to try and get the axles replaced under a parts warranty. I still need an alignment and this issue just set me back. Never ends.

Dammit, I just ordered those axles. I replaced both boots on my stock axles. Thought I fixed the problem, but no such luck. I guess they'll be going to DSS for their road course upgrade.

Wow, you're traveling from CA for this? Must be bigger than I thought. FYI, find another hotel than the holiday inn in joliet. Can you say dump. Fortunately I live 10 miles away from the Autobahn.

All they need is a better band to hold the friggen boot on. I might look around and see what is available. But this axle is getting replaced from the place that sold it to me.

Also, the grease that's in the CV, it looks like a graphite grease. Grey/Black and isn't all that thick. Sort of surprised when I hear the type of lubricant DSS uses.

Sent you a PM, I'm planning to get to 3 events in the general area and Heidt's is supposed to be a good one. I am also going to Midwest Muscle Car Challenge over Memorial Day in Lawrenceville and then leaving Camaro there until Optima Face Off at Road America...with any like will get an invite to Optima Invitational after SEMA. I have a facebook page to try and get an invite too...will see.

I've replaced the boots on both of my stock axles. The repkacement boots come with squeezable band clamps. I bought the special tool to squeeze the clamp and they lasted a while but now they're both leaking again. And i clamped them tighter than they are supposed to be. What a shitty design. Will the Z28 have this same crappy design I wonder?
