I mean where else can u get this much car with 305 hp and 29 mpg thats amazing imo. My drag racing days are long over and no way in hell im racing some ricer clown just to see who's the bigger man on the streets and take out some soccer mom in her mini van with her 3 kids. Load up a 2LT RS thats one hell of car for a daily driver.Correct me if im wrong but wasnt a lot of the muscle cars of the 60's early 70's under or close to 300 hp? My 99 grand am v6 is around 180ish hp and has tons of pick up to get around town and to pass on the highway. Anyone else getting these kind of statements from your v6 camaro as i sure am?
ls1 My engine is still bone stock with boltons and suspension... I bet all those guys talking smack to you wouldn't want to race me. Ls1s were rated at between 305-350hp I'm putting 344 on the ground right now Thats over 400hp to the fly and it is still stock.

Get what you like and quit sweating the haters. They always got something to say and it sounds like they're already hating on you. Get your 300hp and rock on!

I have dyno sheets you want to see those? Never run a 1/4 at a track yet, only the 1/8th(best 8.52).

I just tell'em... "It's a V6 thing... you wouldn't understand"... LOL! Used to get it all the time with my V6 Mustang... after a while you just learn to completely ignore them and just enjoy your car...

Like someone else said, I opted for the Caddy engine, that ends the coversation. Then it's on to the interior, "Nice leather seats, heated too? Great sound system and them gauges, very nice".

"You paid $29,400 for all this? not bad" (auto, sunroof)

There's nothing wrong with the 6V it's a great value. Powerfull, terrific price, beautiful.

But for me any time there's a model Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger; and I get anything less than that, it's settling.

Good then, I will have 2 "PONY" cars in my garage a V6 and V8......OMG lol. My point being, both are great in their own way.

This is thread has become pointless... MODS please either lock it or put a end to the stupidness of it.

sorry... this supidness will never end... lock this thread and in a few days or weeks another one will pop up... just a fact of life...

As far as Muscle vs Pony.... The 2010 might just be BIG enough to be a Muscle car! Historical the Muscle cars were quite large!

Here's a thought for ya.... there's a member here who's V8 was out run by a V6 with his dealer as a witness... to hell with the comparisons, they are both fine cars. If you have issues with the V6 its a personal problem and there is help available I suggest you seek it.

I know I have a lot to learn, but I too was thinking the 2010 Camaro was large enough to be a Muscle car Muscle or Pony they are quite fun! Was just out working in our V6 today and the tapshift on wheel is a flat out awesome option to have with the Auto!

Everyone has their reasons. These reasons are as varied as the opinions of them.

Nobody can tell me the V6 is any less of a car than the V8. I'm more interested in driving the car than blowing people away at stop lights and drag strips.

You know what we motorcycle people call somebody who goes real fast but only in a straight line? A Squid. There's a nice little memorial of them made out of sport bike parts at the Dragon at Deals gap. The V8 is the squid of the two Camaro's.
Yeah sure you can go spend more money and get the pedders suspension but so can I.

I can mod my V6 and go as fast as you stock V8's the V8 will always have more potential. So what.

My little 600cc Yamaha YZF600 is the fastest and best handling thing I own. If you can ride it. I probably will sell it now. No time for it.

I can get in my 444ci 7.3L V8 Diesel Truck and go slower and turn slower. But it hauls 12,000 pounds.

Everything has a purpose. What's your purpose? Whats important to you? You have something to prove? You'll feel shamed with a V6? You like the rumble of the V8? You like the gas mileage of the V6? You like the torque of the V8? You like the better insurance rate of the V6? You need an extension of your.....? Whatever it is, its your decision, for your reason. Don't let anyone shame you into buying something you don't want.

The V6 is never going to looked at as the badest. I don't care. Its exactly WHAT I WANTED. Its not settling for me.
