CNC heads or after market

Guys, I have completely assembled my lethal night fury cam package.
Lethal cam
BTR dual valve with titanium retainers.
Melling high volume
Comp cam trunion upgrade
Ls2 damper
C5-r timing chain
SLP 160 degree thermostat
Lsx gaskets
ARP goodies

Already ordered comp cam push rods.

But now I hav the itch to make sure I'm over 500 rwhp.
Currently have 1-3/4 headers, gutted cats
CAI intake

My real question is how aggressive can I go with heads before I need to fly cut?
TSP CNC heads look like a great deal, but I am pretty uneducated in what it all means. Could anyone help?

I am by no means an expert but I would think that depends on current valve to piston clearances with the cam you have installed.

Time to measure things up..

Lethal just had some stock heads ported and worked to their specs for me and they are making good power.
But you do need to make up your mind now if you plan to stay NA.. or boost/NOS now.
So you can mill or not.

Mine are not milled at all as I plan on going boost and NOS.

other than that looks good.
you might want to try the UD Pulley though.
they highly recommended it at Lethal and it is making good power on my Lethal build.

Which under drive are you running?

Also, they just cnc ported yours? I am going to stay NA maybe add nitrous but not go FI.

If I ever did I would build from the ground up for FI

Lethal should know if their cam will work with stock PTV clearance. Once you change the heads, those numbers will change due to the thickness of the deck and the valve angle on the heads. The pushrod length will also change.

Yes they send them out to a shop for porting/milling and valvejobs.
They had a set of NA Milled heads ready for me as well had I decided to go NA he asked me right then and there which way I was going to go.

So they built me for FI in the future which they are going to do an ECS on it later this year hopefully for 750 goved down to 700 with plate.

Powerbond 25% UD is what they recommended.

What P2V do you have now? I've had no problems running some max effort stuff at .020/.030 P2V but for street use my cutoff is .050 or at least that is what I shoot for. You will not pick up a tremendous amount of power with compression so don't cut it so close.

We've had really good luck with AI and their heads seem to pick up a easy 20 rwhp on LS3 applications.

Mast's 11* and TSP's 13* heads are the only aftermarket cast out at this time.
To really put you over 500 both heads will get you there BUT since you want to get either you should IMHO go for an 11.5 compression to take advantage of the valve angle. They are really good heads, I personally prefer MAST black labels though. As far as pushrods go send them back, whoever does the I stall will NEED to check for the correct length then place the order. If you can swing it I'd get a FAST 102 and a NW 102 TB, those heads will be moving some serious air and since you already have the springs make sure to get the heads bare. Just my .2!! This will be one badazz NA setup no doubt!! GL and keep us posted.

I use this site for calculations
http://mobile.dudamobile.com/site/wa...test2.php#2577

You have a
4.065 bore
3.622 stroke
.048 is the compressed thickness of GM Ls3 MlS gaskets

If you can't wing the heads I'd sell your heads and buy a set of WCCH stage 3 heads!!
