Took the middle daughter to the track on Saturday, got to explain to her the basics of the sport, ate some hot dogs, and finally got to make a single pass after she decided she was ok with sitting with some friends of mine for the 2 minutes.

Got a 13.96 @ 99 in "as it drove there" condition, pretty darn ok with that. Got my thermostat in last night, fans and pulley today hopefully.

Been working on a few mods, a couple cosmetic and a couple performance-oriented.

Performance: CAI intake, JDM scoop, Rotofab washer tank relocate, Elite catch can, 1LE oil separator installed

Cosmetic: ZL1 side skirts and rear splash guards, black Camaro badges, custom rear bowtie, heritage grille with SS emblem

I think all I have left cosmetically is I'm planning to add the convertible rear spoiler painted black like my 1LE spoiler.

A few pics:

JJKJ,

Looks great. Love how on the 1LE they keep the hood matte black. Goes good with the GFX.

Just called Advanced Tinting Solution for the clear bra for their premium package (all of front bumper, fenders, part of the hood, and mirrors) it costs $650. YOUCH!

Just back from Kansas City. I delivered a 35 Ford Fab5 street rod for HarTek Automotive.

I was with-in the sea of Reliable Transportation semi's....over 10 of them in the staging lane. Damn, those trucks are custom!

Was informed when taking rod inside this massive convention center (1/4 mile long inside) that over 700 cars to go across the Mechum block this weekend.

I don't like to speak poorly of any good vendor, but I also believe in helping fellow enthusiasts from going through the same heartache I did. I had a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport that I had a clear bra installed by Advanced Tinting. It was actually through McGrath who I bought the car from, but they had Advance Tinting do the work. The first time it came back with dirt under the bra and several wrinkles in the corners. Granted, the Grand Sport front is tough, but either do a quality job or pass. My car also came back with hard water spots on it from them rinsing the car off after the job. I had to polish the spots off.

McGrath acknowledged the sub-par job and requested Advance re-do the work. They said they'd make sure it was done right the second time. It came back just as bad the second time. McGrath stood behind me and refunded the cost and said they'd work on collecting from Advance Tinting.

I know everyone will have different experiences with vendors, but my advice is that you make sure you've seen work done by Advance Tinting before you have them do your car.

And by the way, it was $750 for the Corvette front, but some of that may have been the upcharge by McGrath.

I've had work don at Advance tinting as well and would not have any thing done there even if it were free.

1976 Camaro.... For Sale?!?

Well guys I have thought long and hard about this. I have decided to sell my 76. I bought a 1978 Chevy Pickup and now have 3 vehicles. Money is getting spread too thin between them. Since, I need the truck and I can't let go of my 2013, the 1976 is the only option left. I figured I would post on here to see if any of you knew someone (or maybe yourself) would want to buy my car. I am asking $5000 o.b.o.

1976 Camaro Type-LT
358ci V8(<2,000 miles)
-stock rotating assembly
-vortec heads
-2.02/2.60 valves 64cc
-1.5 full roller rockers
-Edelbrock rpm intake
-Holley 672 Street Avenger Carb
-CompCams XE274
-Hooker Comp headers w/ full exhaust
-GM Black wrinkle dress up kit
Turbo 350w/ shift kit rebuilt at Fountain Transmission in Iowa City (<3,000 miles)
-2800 stall
Front lowering springs
Front suspension rebuilt+new shock at all 4 corners
2-3/4" cowl hood
Aftermarket gauges

Thanks, I really like the car and have put a lot of work into it. I have fought the idea for awhile. Ultimately there is more potential in my new Camaro and I need some help with the truck expenses. In reality I don't need 2 V8 Camaros....right now. Maybe in the future I will be able to pick something up again.
