2014 Fiesta St config.
I was browsing fords website cause I was interested in the Fiesta St model and saw that actually price and build one on the website looks like 22k is the cheapest you can get it for at first with out incentives since its so new. I think build date is june or july with delivers in august maybe. I think its a nice looking car with prolly great performance for the price 197 hp not bad out of a 1.6 ltr. I bet it will handle pretty good too since the Focus ST is getting rave reviews as well.

Considering this is the "other cars" section, what's the engine like in terms of stoutness and the ability to handle extra boost?
I used to have an MS6 and that engine had weak rods and they were breaking left & right.

I don't know much about the 1.6 EcoBoost going in the Fiesta ST... however if it's anything like the other EcoBoost motors it should be tough! As far as extra boost, really not sure on the that... on the 2.0 EB you really can't run MORE boost since the tiny little turbo is pretty much maxed out... HOWEVER you can make the boost come on sooner and hold it longer! I picked up a ridiculous amount of low end torque with just a tune on both the 3.5 V6 EcoBoost and the 2.0 I-4 EcoBoost..

Interesting...thanks for sharing.
Note that you can get a 300HP Mustang V6 for the same price....in fact, some brand new V6 Mustangs are falling under 20 grand in MN. |

but the mustang isn't gonna get 35 to 40 mpg on the hwy. Motortrend did a first drive in the St over in france but a three door version and they say its almost like the Focus St in handling around roads and stuff but its not as fast as a focus St.

I took an interest in that car too until I read that it had some transmission problems:
http://jalopnik.com/5774473/ford-qui...ner-complaints They may have resolved it. It may only apply to their "automatic" cars. If the one you get is a manual trans, then perhaps you will be ok. the automatic is a computerized manual transmission. |

Well now, so Ford stole Austin Martin's front grills and just slapped them on everything.

This is a great car ... we had our Steeda version on the track over the weekend. We have seen some great gains with just a CAI/Tune alone and some minor suspension upgrades. Ford got this car right ... but we were able to squeeze a little more out of it.
